Does it Aune S7 have a fatal flaw of humming as the X7s. I run across several complaining from difference sites about this fatal flaw of the Aune X7s. I just received the X7s from Penon audio. That's not an upgrade from my Aune X1s. The Aune X1s amp is much more powerful than the X7s at 0 db gain. At 15 db gain, the Aune X7s starts to hum . At manufacture setting ( 20 db), the X7s hum like an AC unit in your headphone.

I own quote the fews ( more than 10 headphone amps/ or amp/ dac stacks ) and none of them hum.

The only way to reduce the hum of the Aune X7s is to set the gain at 0 db but then the X7s amp is much, much weaker than the amp in the Aune X1s. On the Aune X1s, I never have to go pass 10 o'clock to have a desirable listening. On the contrary, with the Aune X7s, for the same perceive loudness, I have to set the X7s between 12 to 1 o'clock.

Why the hell do I need to have a not fully balance amp ( Aunne A7x) when its amp section performs inferior than the Aune X1s ? Class A topology or not, at 0 db gain, the Aune x1s beats the pants off the Aune A7x.

That something buyers need to be aware of the Aune gain stage. It hums.

What headphones are you using? I have both the X1S and X7S. I dont hear any audible humming on my X7S. I run it at 20db with DT770Pro 250ohm and Monoprice Retros. Feeding it from the X1S from my macbook.
