Question:
Is the A10 a more vivid presentation or a more laid back presentation?

I expect that the BA10 & A10 won't sound exactly the same (BA10 has a 31005 mid-high frequency BA and a cavernous interior) but if the CCA is as clean and clear as the BA10 then it deserves a great deal of attention, indeed.

Doc Holiday, the A10 has a vivid presentation, similar to the C16 or Tin T3, in contrast to the C10 which I would describe as laid back. I have not heard the BA10 though I do like the mids on the ZS7 and **** which use the 31005 BA.

I think its better Doc than BA10, honestly more detail and better resolution but a different type of low end. BA10 had some real big low end when needed these can get there if great seal can occur. I’d love to hear your thoughts on it Doc!

Comparison to Fiio FA1 if you have it? Graphs on internet seems to indicate A10 has less sub-bass roll off and a dip in 6-7k, which I tend to like, coming from etymotic hf5.

Any comparisons to Tin hifi T2 or T3?

RikudouGoku, I do not have the T2, but I do have the T3. The T3 has a fuller, richer sound and a deeper bass, but does not have quite the detail and resolution of the A10. In fact, the T3 is more relaxing whereas the A10 keeps you on the edge of your seat and is very addictive. You can read my review of the T3 here on Head fi.

I also have the T3 would you say it's not worth it to buy the A10 then? Have you looked at the kz as12? Looks pretty good by going of the specs.

RikudouGoku, I also have ZS7 as well. The T3 for me is kind of half way between the ZS7 and the A10. At the moment the T3 is my favourite but only since I used it with my Topping NX1a amp. The T3 really needs the power whereas I find the ZS7 and A10 don't need extra power. I'm using a HiFi Walker H2 DAP as the source.
