I'd really love to have these compared to the W1000X, just saying :D
They are not as portable but they don't require amping also and sound remarkably well out of something like the Clip+.
They are also portable enough for me and beautiful and available for the same price...

thedreamforce: They are better in every way! I have a comparison review between the KEF M500, Momentum and P7 coming up. Stay tuned and you'll get a more detailed answer.

conquerator2: A close friend of mine who owns the same pairs of headphones I do and share my tastes in audio has told me the W1000X is not very good. So I don't care to try it out I'm afraid. I did try the W5000 once but... well, it sucked.

Yeah the W5000 does suck a lot, but the W1000X is supposedly pretty good. I don't know your friend's preferences so what he might consider bad may be considered impressive by me :D I am just a few days away from the W1000X so I'll definitely test that out myself. P7 is not in consideration for now :]

exactky... i use my w1000x on the go n ignoreing portability since i carry big bag around my shoulder for my headohones... I really doubt the P7 can compare to the w1000x. Not to mention the Hp 100 matches the description u gave on the P7 sound... but wait it costs have as much :3

@thedreamforce The P7 actually reminds me a lot of the Momentum, in fact it's almost like a higher end version of the Momentum: more detailed, more refined, bigger soundstage, slightly less midbass boom, and of course more expensive.

Owning both, I don't think they sound similar actually. the Momentum is much darker and mellower sounding.

I enjoy my P7s very much but they sound boomy at times. I would say that the low end feels sloppy and the overall sound is laid back.

I disagree about sloppy low end, I've not heard bass this well defined in any other sealed headphone from what I recall.

In what way do you mean the sound is laid back?

I, for one, would prefer to describe the bass as "broad" rather than "loose" or "sloppy". Those last two terms make me thing of inconsistency. I find the bass quite consistent, giving a wide low end to the source, kinda like a thick carpet in a room. I've noticed a bigger difference in source material with these cans, which must be due to the fact that they are quite revealing. I've been surprised that some older rock tunes seem more bass-shy than I had noticed before. On some of those tracks, I've upped the bass and lowered the upper mids a bit with EQ. That really improved the sound to my ears. Ideally, I'd rather avoid EQ but...

I don't know if my p7 is defective but I have used it on a variety of sources without adjusting the EQ, iphone 5s. Ipad mini, new MacBook Pro, shuffle, Sansa clip, sony MP3 players and find the sound to be detailed and spread apart nicely kind of airy in a way. I don't plan to amp them since they are a portable headset and I would rather have it be portable. I listen to a variety of music from hip hop to acoustic and it generally sounds good just find the mid bass overwhelming at times. By laid back I mean the voice of the singer feels a little distant. I may need to burn them in more since I just got it so my opinion may change as I continue to use them.

bpourmokhtari, mine improved over 24 hours of burn in time. Hopefully yours will to. Let us know.

bpourmokhtari: The midrange of the P7 is indeed less forward (in your face) than on many other portable headphones, but I wouldn't consider this an actual drawback. The midrange is not recessed, it's just the above average soundstaging for a closed headphone that opens the recording up and puts the singer where it normally should be - centered up front. But if the recording has the singer very intimately/forward positioned in the soundstage, then that's what you'll hear.

Sounds to me like the portable headphone to go to! Little more expensive than the Momentum, but still better for the price.

I do think the increased cost is justified by the improvement in sound quality, it's not slight.

After having a demo pair to use my order is now placed and I'm waiting in anticipation :)

Tried them out a second time, much better compared to first time i tested them. But i do think the midrange is a bit less forward then what i would have liked, still very good. gonna have to take a thrid swing with them before making a final decision

I still own a pair of B&W DM1800 loudspeakers and was intrigued when I found out that they are now making headphones. How would these compare to my Alessandro MS-Pros?

I pick things up as well I have to agree they have an amazing sound very sturdy build quality and are also very enjoyable to listen to as well. I had the P5 as well and yes the meds are definitely brought back a little and I do agree it's not a bad thing it all. Some respects it's an improvement because it sounds more natural to a soundstage and the fact that you're not going to hear every little scratch of instrument the foreground as opposed to the echoing itself at the same time in a real situation. I think all the Bowers and Wilkins headsets are good but I think these are excellent absolutely excellent and they should be for the price point. I plan to make these my headphones for many years to come I feel they will last that long. Definitely recommend going out China if you can or buy them you should enjoy them immensely!
