Awesome review, and foreshadows my thoughts exactly. I'm still going to post a review, but this is such a good review I think you stole my thunder brother! Totally joking, I love your reviews and look forward to them every-time. I think my star rating will be the same as well. I would suggest you give the ONKYO H900M a listen. I compared it to the P7 wireless last night, both wired through my NAD rig and the results were pretty much a dead heat. Anyway, glad you like the P7 as much as I do, great effort and I actually liked it as much as the P9 although the P9 has a gorgeous liquid midrange.

@Sonic Defender : Thanks for the kind words!  I didn't get a chance to test P9 yet, but very curious about it.  Mostly, how is the bass (mid-bass in particular) in comparison to P7?

Great review! I just went out and purchased these this afternoon so it looks like I invested wisely.

I wonder if you can measure the weight of the right half of the P7 Wireless vs. the left half? On mine the right half is noticeably heavier.

Thanks for this.  I currently have a pair sitting here at home waiting for the final test - AIRPLANE TRAVEL!  It is going to be either these - or the new B&O H9 with ANC.  So far many are saying the ANC on the H9 is rather weak.  I refuse to go with the new Sony X1000 after listening to the P7's and H9's.  While the ANC might be class leading - the sound is no where close to what these two are offering

Hey, I think the mid-bass voicing is very similar, but it has been a while since I heard the P9. I remember thinking that other than being more refined sounding, the P9 sounded very similar to the P7. It may be more different and simply require more listening to appreciate the differences, but certainly at first blush they are more similar than different I felt.

Julien: thanks for confirming that my copy is not the only one that has an extra weight on the right. I honestly wouldn't call the P7 wireless "an evenly distributed 323 grams of weight".

In fact, the P7 Wireless has been an ergonomic disaster for me. It *feels* much heavier than say the BeoPlay H9, despite being only about 10% more. The imbalance makes things slightly worse, but really it is the overall weight of the P7 Wireless and the headband design. I'd rather they make it less sturdy to cut the weight.

@maverickwoo : my reference to evenly distributed weight is a subjective matter based on many factors relative to the users head anatomy, clamping force, stretching to break in, wearing comfort, etc.  I find P7W to be very comfortable during extended use and I do feel weight being evenly distributed relative to my fit.  This reviews is me sharing my experience of using these.  But it's quite understandable they won't fit everyone the same.  Unlikes iems, with full size cans it's not only about the sound, but also the fit.  Perhaps these are not your cup of tea.  Or, with your reference to imbalance, as others measured 20g difference, maybe you stretched the headband to far and the clamping force is loose?
