Thoroughly enjiyed reading this review. I've had these heazdphones in my sights for a while now, might be time to pick up a pair. I am also interested that you picked up on the head-fi stereotype that more treble /less bass = more detail. Nice comparisons

A great detailed review...Thanks! You definitely have a way with words.

I think the reasoning behind the 2 cables isn't just mobility... at least not in the commuting sense. For those of us that do a fair amount of listening at a computer (or laptop...) presumably rocking out a Dragonfly, an 8 foot cable is a bit overkill. Just a guess.

Great review, probably one of the finest I have ever read! I salute your command of the written word(so sorely missing in reviews today) and your ability to paint verbal landscapes without resorting to highly technical "jargon" that so few of us in the real world actually understand. Your decision to present your impressions without trying to impress us with your "technical prowess" is very refreshing and a good read and has the ability to pique ones interest in the product under review whether previously interested in the product or not.
I salute you sir and hope to read many more of your most interesting reviews in the future. Cheers from Oz.

Really nice review, well written. I have to say that my hour session with the cans yielded another result though. I found them to be far too expansive for the sound they delivered. Here in Sweden they cost roughly like apair of MP-3's or the Hifimann 400i. Well above the price range of HD650, Momentum 2 most of the Beyerdynamic DT7, 8 and 9 series. When comparing with the Momentum 2 and the Denon AH-MM400 they sounded similar, still some changes here and there but not that significant that I wanted to add another headphone with that signature. The comfort however was extremely nice! If you can get these for cheaper than here in Sweden, you should definately look into them!
