General Information

A powerhouse of a headphone amplifier combined with a high-performance DAC, the Deckard drives any headphone with power to spare. The DAC has impressive specs and handles 16 to 32-bits and sampling rates from 44.1kHz to 384kHz. There’s a volume control and front-panel switches to choose gain and input so you can also use the Deckard as a great line-level preamp. The sound is exciting and dynamic with beautifully rendered tonal colors that make music come alive.

Pros: Good Timbre, power, versitility/value. Smooth amp. Dac does width, depth and vocals very well. That knob.
Cons: Dac can be harsh on some tracks, noise floor, resolution.
As long as you avoid using the deckard on low gain you'll probably not be dissapointed.

Pros: Good build quality
Cons: Many...just in-your-head soundstage,grainy vocals,harsh sounding,headache inducing sound,very expensive.
There is nothing to review here.If you want to buy this,please try it before you buy.I don't understand why Audeze still carries this product.I love their headphones,particularly LCDx ,but this piece of product is nothing more than an astonishing piece of junk considering its price.If you have any questions, you can PM me.

Helpful to at least mention if the internal USB DAC was used, or just the amplifier portion. Also if the reviewer dislikes it, could make mention of alternatives. Such as to suggest a Magni is not good is not helpful, but makes much more sense in the context of comparing it to the Ragnarok. So it may not be complete junk, but relative to the baseline is simply not worthy to audition.

Totally Disagree with this review having listened to the Deckard, Lyr 2 & Peachtree audio Nova 150 the Conclusion I have reached is that is very very good class amp. certainly comparing it to the ones I have mentioned with the LCD 2F !
