AFUL “Polar Night” Open-Back Acoustic Earbud

General Information

1. Common Sound Quality Challenges in Earbuds.

①

Due to the open design, low-frequency airflow can only partially enter the ear canal, resulting in significant loss. This leads to a lack of bass presence and a rigid, unrefined low-end response.

②

The characteristics of flat drivers combined with the earbud design cause energy to become overly concentrated in the 500Hz–2kHz range, causing vocals to lose their vibrancy and naturalness.

③

The lack of low frequencies and the overly concentrated midrange energy, combined with a single dynamic driver, result in an inadequate vertical soundstage and poor resolution. The distance between the driver and the ear canal causes further distortion, reducing the overall sound fidelity.

As a person who owned all the AFUL Products at some point of time and who never extensively used Earbuds , this thing is surely "INTERESTING",
Let's see how they do bass with this one.

I also think they must have developed something like the 3D maze structure they did in MagicOne(not that same one but something similar I mean) to get better bass. I just hope this one sits comfortably for most users.

I wouldn't buy an earbud that costs over $100 though. I've never found a pair that sits well in my ears and gives me enough of all frequencies. The most comfortable ones are the Tiandirenhe TD21, but they lack treble air and can sound a bit 'radio-like'. Then again, if earbuds did seal, they wouldn't be any different than IEMs.
