    [resolved]

I just received a reply by PM so we will see where this goes once the package arrives tomorrow.   It was all just very unnerving as the only time I've ever had  a paypal claim filed against me was a "not as described" scam when i sold my iPhone on eBay.  It's not a nice thing to wake up to.  ...

*** Updated: Headphones arrived and paypal claim was withdrawn.  All is well, miscommunication resolved. ***       Hi all,   I've been a member of these forums for 10 years (always as a lurker . . . antisocial :) ), and like many of us have sold and traded gear in the classifieds from time...

    The Stax thread (New)

Hi all:   Lurking stax user here with a curiosity to share: Stax Quattro CDP   Picked this up recently as a total impulse buy... anyone have any info?   It somehow works perfectly (no read errors/skipping on original lens!).  Sounds surprisingly good through O2 Mk1 and Headamp KGSS -...

Poll: Audeze LCD-2 rev1/rev2 owners desert Island scenario.

I very clearly prefer the Rev. 1, but I have always sought a midrange-centric sound signature. Rev 2 is a great headphone but took what I thought to be the best sound signature I've ever heard (a unique one, moreover) and tuned it closer to the remainder of the market - a more 'hifi' sound. For...

    HifiMAN HE-6 Planar Magnetic Headphone

The audeze circle jerk is becoming insufferable around these parts... not only do they refuse to acknowledge a single imperfection with their product deity, they now sit on competitor's threads and derail legitimate conversation about the merits of a yet unveiled release.   Hint: None of you...

    Audeze LCD-2 Orthos

Price too high for an unproven manufacturer, I can get a used HD800 for that or a little more. I'll be going with the HE5-LE. This is why its never a good idea to release pricing hints until absolutely sure... the $300 extra is killer and really upsetting.

    HD600s are the best!

I had 600's for years, sold them, and could never get rid of a little itch that wanted them back. Got another pair and couldn't be happier. They don't do anything wrong, and I just sit and enjoy music. With the more expensive Stax, it was always more "oh that sounds nice, excellent tone...

    Spain-Best food in Western Civilization?

basque food is the best in the world, and I hate the basques, FWIW. It is the perfect combination of traditional spanish and french... also for the record provincial spanish food is what he is talking about... basque/galicia/cataluña/andalucía... food in madrid is not overwhelming

absolutely don't go into law. (unless you can get into a T6 school or full ride at 7-14, and love the idea of working 80 hour weeks with pretentious, backstabbing, and otherwise insufferable prestige-whores) alternatively, you can go into public interest law, work similar hours, make less...

When did it become acceptable even among high-budget productions...

American entertainment films have taken the French New Wave style jump-cutting and completely ruined it. Jean-Pierre Melville is rolling over in his grave.

When did it become acceptable even among high-budget productions...

I disagree completely with the premise of this thread. No offense, but if you study film, the use of hand-held cameras is both prevalent and quite appropriate. Remember that Kubrick was one of the greatest proponents of filming scenes personally with a handheld device. The German...
