Why should I go with the STX? I want 7.1 capability with the add-on card and I can't seem to get that with the STX.   Also, I had checked Amazon before but I only see it being sold by some place called "Cellular Shack" for over $400...

What does a hard reset do? I have tried powering off and on, but not what you described. Does it reset settings and things, because I don't want to do that.   I have checked apps running in the background though, and nothing else was. Also, yes I do have all the updates.. Quote:

Oh I forgot to mention, in my case the situation is also helped along by setting the EQ setting to 0. 1 still has some and 2 has the most interference. Though I definitely enjoy the bass boost and don't want to do without it.

How would you compare these two amps from RSA? All burn-in effects taken into account, which would you say is the better amp (subjective i know)? I might be getting an amp in a couple of months and I'm mainly looking at these two.

I think I'm going to pick up a pair of each the bowls and the flats to compare them. I remember reading about the flats a few years ago but I never picked them up because my original foams were okay. I guess now really is a perfect opportunity to experiment.

What kinds of different foams are there? On TTVJ I see "Bowl Pads" and "Flat Pads" amongst some others. Are bowl pads the regular stock replacement for the 225s? And what are the benefits of the flat pads?

bump I am wondering how long ago you guys used the shure warranty. I read that this requirement that you buy from an authorized dealer is new.

I want to buy some shure earphones but on their site i says that they only provide warranty for earphones purchased through them or through authorized retailers. Their list of authorized retailers though includes only a few merchants...all of which have the same prices, so theres no opportunity...

So what do you guys think about my previous comment? Should I buy from a non-authorized dealer and risk not having the warranty?

I just read that apparently shure doesn't cover their earphones under their warranty unless you buy them from an authorized reseller...and there are only a handful of those which Electronica Direct is not one of
