Upgrading to HD580 - Amp worth investment?
I just ordered a Senn HD580 and I am concerned about the nessecity to amp it. I've been looking at the Pocket Amp 2, and I can't tell whether it is a good match or not. Will even getting an amp like this increase my listening experience. I don't have much of an amp budget over $80. My other...- uosux

Setting a Goal - Best Headphone/Amp/Source for ~$600
While I'm doing well with my current set up (Zen Xtra, Grado SR80s, Shure E2Cs), I'm planning on working towards something a bit more "substantial". I want to start off a nice home listening set-up, but don't have an unlimited budget. I am thinking along the lines of $600, which would be $200...- uosux

So how good are the stock Zen Micro earbuds?
If they are the same as the ones that came with my Zen Xtra then they aren't very good. I guess stock buds have a reputation for a reason.- uosux

What makes a genre appealing?
I hear what you guys are saying. Genre's are a tricky subject in general for me. Whenever I am labeling my music on my Zen Xtra I feel like I'm bastardizing them by compressing them into a limited group of genres. But I guess that wins out in the end over having 50 different genres listed... -
What makes a genre appealing?
Recently I've been trying to diversify my musical tastes as much as possible. As you can expect, listening to something very different then what you normally hear can be a confusing experience. Instead of writing off any music I don't understand as "crap", I am assuming there is something I am... -

Does music impair your social life?
I don't find it a problem personally because my "headphone time" takes place when I won't be meeting people anyways. I tend to listen late at night or when I am off on my own.- uosux

EAC Trouble
My EAC, which has worked fine for me before, no longer detects CDs. It simply doesn't register that a CD is present in the drive. The computer and other programs detect it fine, but not EAC. Has anyone run into this before?- uosux

DVD/RW Trouble
***FIXED*** Okay, I managed to fix the problem and am very pleased with myself . The solution was rather esoteric, so here it is incase anyone has a similar problem in the future. 1. Click on START button, the click on RUN 2. Enter REGEDIT and press enter 3. When REGEDIT starts, open up...- uosux

DVD/RW Trouble
I have a NEC 2500a DVD burner, and everything has been working fine on it untill today. For whatever reason, it is not detected anymore. After investigating, I find that "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)". I have...- uosux

D&D
Thanks for reminding me of the name, Megaptera. I found that site I was mentioning earlier. It has all of the 3.5 rules outlined nicely in HTML. DnD 3.5 Rules If you are playing near a computer, it comes in handy a lot. Also, I find it useful to print out the pages I need the most. As...- uosux

D&D
Yeah, I find D&D a great alternative to most mind-melting media (music excluded of course!). Its not only a fun game, but an entertaining social event. It's much more human compared to video games or the like, which I have nothing against. I'm not sure about the whole 3.5 edition fiasco. My...- uosux

D&D
I play the "pencil and paper" version, aka the real thing. I enjoy Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights the computer versions, but they are nothing like the actual game except they use the same rule set. You really can't compare the two. No matter how well programmed the game is, it is still...- uosux

Teen Drivers and Auto Insurance
Enzoferarri, it is difficult to get a "good" job when you're young. Teenagers generally have little experience, maybe a highschool diploma, and no marketable skills. This leaves you doing jobs that take no skill, (I have been tearing tickets at a movie theatre When I'm a professor, we will see...- uosux

Buying a new PC; Help needed.
I thought about the mx510, but went with the mx300 for money reasons. From what I read, it looks like it will perform pretty well. Maybe not great, but good enough for me I think. I placed my order with newegg just now. Ordered two of everything (except monitor) for my brother too.- uosux
