Buying portable or in-ear headphones? Seeking guidance? DON'T START A NEW THREAD. Ask for advice HERE!
I'm looking for a couple of pairs of headphones... First, for myself. I've been using the bundled buds from my Clip+, but they've developed a loose connection in one ear, so I'm looking for something to replace them. Either buds, or portables. Not IEMs - I already have Ety's (for maximum...- Adeptus

JVC FX33 Mallows - What tips?
OK, my wear-while-mowing Mallows are showing their age... one of the grey tubes has come unstuck. So, should I re-glue the tube on that one, or pull the tube off the other? Which tips work well without the tubes?- Adeptus

Battle of the 700's... ATH-A700 vs JVC HA-RX700 + ATH-AD700
Quote: It's a fairly small office (<20 people) and they're all trustworthy. The only outsiders who come in are the cleaners, so if they nicked anything it would be obvious who had done it. I have IEMs at the moment - SoundMagic PL30. They're pretty good, but can get uncomfortable...- Adeptus

Battle of the 700's... ATH-A700 vs JVC HA-RX700 + ATH-AD700
Argh... I'm annoyed now... After waiting 2 weeks for the RX700s to come in stock, my order for both was still waiting to be processed. I decided I'd have another look at what was available, maybe get one set that would do for both (closed & gaming). After reading a few reviews & doing a...- Adeptus

Budget USB soundcard / DAC?
Quote: I want USB, as my main PC is a laptop... also I might bring it to work, to improve the sound while listening to music on my work PC. You say the PCI-E Xonar are good, do you know if the USB Xonar is too?- Adeptus

Budget USB soundcard / DAC?
Can anyone recommend a good, low cost USB soundcard (or a DAC would do the same, if I understand correctly?) to use with headphones? Are any of these any good? Muse PCM2704 http://cgi.ebay.com.au/180536957670 Winsound Mini TDA1305T http://cgi.ebay.com.au/320600359057 SMSL...- Adeptus

Battle of the 700's... ATH-A700 vs JVC HA-RX700 + ATH-AD700
I'm looking to get some decent headphones. I'll mostly be listening at work, so want something that doesn't leak sound. But I'd like a set that will be good for gaming too. Budget is around $150-200ish (INCLUDING shipping to Australia). I was thinking of getting the ATH-A700 from a local...- Adeptus

Best Tips for SoundMagic Pl-30
I liked the bi-flanges best out of the included tips, but they came off in my ears a couple of times! I have been using the included foamies, but the seal is nowhere near as good. I'm thinking I'll try some Comply (T400?), but if anyone can suggest a good alternative bi-flange, I'd like to...- Adeptus

SoundMAGIC PL30 impressions
Got mine at last... I ordered a couple weeks before my overseas trip, and they didn't arrive until after I left So, nice "welcome home" gift Initial thoughts - very comfortable, could hardly tell they were in; they sounded nice, but very weak on bass. Then I tried the larger tips -...- Adeptus

Ultimate Ears Loud Enough Earphones for Kids?...(Help).
I've heard of them They apparently have a low maximum volume (high impedance?) by design, to avoid damaging kids' hearing As for UE quality - I've never had any myself, but have a look at the other threads on here... UE make the TripleFi, SuperFi, and others. Lots of happy users of those on...- Adeptus

SoundMAGIC PL30 impressions
Focalprice claims "Up to -20dB ambient moise rejection." Does this seem about right? I've seen some people say they don't isolate anywhere near as much as other IEMs, but how do they compare to closed cans or JVC marshmallows?- Adeptus
