I'm ready to order this 4.4mm balanced cable to upgrade my IEM. And as an 4.4mm female to 3.5mm male adapter I'm considering one of these: Option 1 Option 2 Option 3 Which one do you think seems to be the better option? Thanks in advance.- meurglys0

Thanks for the quick reply. I've almost made up my mind with your reassurance. Do you use any connector with your 4.4mm balanced cable in order to use it with standard (3.5mm) sockets? Since I'm also on the market for a 4.4mm female to 3.5mm male connector cable...- meurglys0

Shane D, I'm considering getting that KK balanced cable for myself. Do you still consider it good? I would love to go for Effect Audio or Moon Audio products but they are very expensive for me. How is the build of KK balanced cable and how is the sound coming out of them? Any microphonic sound...- meurglys0

I like your logic, though my IEMs (Earsonics SM3 v2) were 400 Euros when they were still sold on the Earsonics online shop. So, I take it you're happy with the sound coming from those cables, is that so?- meurglys0

Thanks for the replies. Is there a brand and model out there that would give me good sound and still be not more than 100 $? Thanks for the warning. Though, I'm considering 4.4mm female to 3.5mm male adapter. That would be OK, right? Thanks. It's still too expensive for me... I'm also...- meurglys0

Help please... I'm finally considering getting a balanced cable for my NW-WM1A after using the single ended socket for 6 months... I have an Earsonics SM3 v2 which has a 3.5mm single ended termination and 2 pin connections. Also, I want to be able to use my IEM with my laptop after...- meurglys0

Audiophile iOS audio player
My setup: Iphone X + Dragonfly Red. I've just installed VOX and Onkyo players to test them out. I've put in my iphone's itune library 24 bit files with various sampling rates (including 44.1 khz, 48 khz, 88.2 khz and 96 khz). I haven't paid for premium versions of VOX and Onkyo players. When I...- meurglys0

Thank you very much for the replies. I bought the CCK today. I'll try that and if it is problematic, then I'll either go Researcher's way or settle for the CCK3, knowing that the difference is negligible.- meurglys0

EarSonics S-EM6 & S-EM6v2 Six driver universal IEM
Thank you very much for the comparison. It's vary valuable help for me. I like the emphasized bass on the SM3V2 (which I wouldn't call it a bassy IEM), while I can imagine it could be more refined. How is the bass on the S-EM6V2? I'm definitely not a basshead, I just wouldn't like thin sound...- meurglys0

Does the recommended lghtning to usb3 camera adaptor really sound better than the older one without the charging port? Or does the AQ company recommends that one just to avoid possible complaints regarding the pops and clicks? Because I'd really prefer to use the one without the charging port...- meurglys0

I'm about to pull the trigger on DFR for my wife. A few questions at the final minute: 1. How does DFR get along with Sennheiser headphones? My wife has an Urbanite XL; I guess all Sennheisers share a dark sound signature. I guess DFR, which apparently has a slightly bright sound, sould make...- meurglys0

Thank you very much for your responses. I have an Earsonics SM3 IEM with a 2 pin connector and 3.5mm unbalanced termination. If I go with Effect Audio I should go with this, right? Though, I must admit I don't like the color of that copper wire... I was also considering Moon Audio...- meurglys0

My wife has an iphone 6 and sennheiser urbanites. Her major complaint is low volume levels she gets from this combo. She listens to classical music and they tend to be recorded at lower volumes. I meant my NW-WM1A... Oh! :weary: Forgive my ignorance... Then, it's going to be balanced cable with a 4.4mm jack and a 3.5mm adaptor... If I get another headphone, then I would have to get a new cable for it, too, or get it re-cabled. It's frustrating.- meurglys0

Now that I think about it, if I get a balanced cable with a 4.4mm jack such as this one, then I wouldn't be able to access the balanced end of my DAP with any other headphones that I might get.
