DEVA Pro with Bluemini R2R--Combining the Best of the HIFIMAN Latest Developments

Yes. They sent me a replacement Bluemini R2R after I returned the defective one (to an address in Poland). But there was a delay of several weeks. I had to remind them to sent the replacement, which then arrived after two days.

DEVA Pro with Bluemini R2R--Combining the Best of the HIFIMAN Latest Developments

I have sent my Bluemini R2R back and asked for a replacement, as the battery capacity has dropped significantly, after just a few months of use. Lately, it lasted just 2 hours, and after fully loading overnight, the capacity indicator showed an 80% load. I haven't received the replacement yet.

DEVA Pro with Bluemini R2R--Combining the Best of the HIFIMAN Latest Developments

After a couple of months using the Deva Pro, I'm still very happy with the sound quality and comfort. The main negative point is the vague battery level info. It works in steps of 20% (20 - 40 - 60 - 80 - 100), i.e. just 5 steps. When charging and discharging, the indicator stays at 80% for...

DEVA Pro with Bluemini R2R--Combining the Best of the HIFIMAN Latest Developments

I put duct tape on the LED to cover it completely and to see it's status there is still enough light visible through the USB-C plug hole next to the LED.

DEVA Pro with Bluemini R2R--Combining the Best of the HIFIMAN Latest Developments

I got the Deva Pro this week. I prefer open headphones and wanted to have a Bluetooth option, for convenience. What I love about the Deva Pro - very good, balanced sound. So much unlike the bass-heavy sound of most (closed) Bluetooth headphones. It's very detailed but non-fatiguing. I would...

Sennheiser Momentum 3 Wireless - The Official Thread

While I had a pair of Momentum 3, I was able to charge them with two different non-Sennheiser USB-C cables. But I've read from several reviewers that charging doesn't work with some cables.

Sennheiser Momentum 3 Wireless - The Official Thread

After I asked Avantree support about this, they released a new firmware upgrade for the Oasis B transmitter: https://avantree.com/product-support/BTTC-500-W-D# (firmware 1.16 dated July 5th: "FIXED Crakling Noise issue when used with aptX Low Latency Headphones."). As I've returned my Momentum...

    Hifiman DEVA - Official Thread

Are there any differences between Bluemini and Bluemini 2, besides support for Bluetooth 5.0? Better performance (range, reliability of the connection) or new or changed features? I've seen that for Bluemini (1) there is a Windows driver available for download (for the USB audio connection, I...

iFi audio ZEN Stream - Streaming elevated to a higher plane

I checked the online documentation, but could not find information on which DACs are supported (or which are not supported) at the USB output of the Zen Streamer. My DAC is a T+A DAC8 DSD. I tested Volumio installed on Raspberry Pi4 with this DAC (connection via USB 2.0), it worked only...

    Sony WH-1000XM4 discussion and reviews

I plan on getting the Sony M4, but I will probably not like the bass bump. So I depend on the Equalizer function of the headphone or the playback software (preferably the former) to change the sound. When changing the EQ in the Sony Connect app, does that setting apply to all connections to the...

Sennheiser Momentum 3 Wireless - The Official Thread

It's a Samsung Galaxy S8 with Android 9. Every phone notification sound interrupts music playback from the PC for about 5 seconds. This also applies to unlocking the screen, when the setting "System sounds and vibration --> screen lock sound" is turned on. I can easily solve that by disabling...

Sennheiser Momentum 3 Wireless - The Official Thread

My Sennheiser Momentum 3 issues are provisionally resolved, as I finally decided to return mine, because of a small channel imbalance (left channel is louder). It's not unbearable, but I don't think I could live with that, considering it's a premium product. What I liked about them: - The sound...

Sennheiser Momentum 3 Wireless - The Official Thread

Thanks @matteventu for that interesting info. Does that mean that with Windows 10 and the Sennheiser Momentum 3, I don't have to worry about audio lag, and aptX LL support is not necessary? So I could use any good Bluetooth 5.0 dongle?

Sennheiser Momentum 3 Wireless - The Official Thread

I just got the Sennheiser Momentum 3 (my first Bluetooth over ear headphones) and was planning to use them for music and movies. Sources would be a smartphone, a Windows 10 PC (USB dongle), and a TV/Blu-ray player (optical output). For music, long signal range would be great (to be able to walk...

The foobar2000 help thread. Got problems or questions? Ask here!

Maybe DACs which can switch from PCM to DSD without any delay don't have this problem with Foobar2000 and DSD. My T+A DAC8 DSD has two seperate DACs inside for PCM and DSD, so it's inevitable that there is a certain delay when the input signal changes between PCM and DSD.

The foobar2000 help thread. Got problems or questions? Ask here!

Yes. That happens too with my DAC (T+A DAC8 DSD), when playing DSD. I've read somewhere else that this is a Foobar2000 issue. The player switches to DSD output only when playback starts, and then the DAC switches to DSD input. With files where the music starts without delay, a second of music...

The foobar2000 help thread. Got problems or questions? Ask here!

With the DSD processor which is part of the recent versions of the SACD plugin I can set conversion of PCM signals up to DSD128. The higher settings don't work. The DAC confirms that it receives DSD128.

The foobar2000 help thread. Got problems or questions? Ask here!

Concerning remote control: I use foobar2000controller, with 2 servers alternatively (desktop PC in living room, laptop in bedroom), and it works fine for me, the way I use it (I don't use the library function a lot, but copy albums manually into a playlist on the PC and then use the Android app...

    M2Tech HiFace 2?

I switched back to the M2Tech driver.   The reason is that with the Microsoft USB 2.0 Audio driver, in Foobar2000, the visualisations don't work and the progress bar is stuck

    M2Tech HiFace 2?

The new Windows 10 Creators Update includes USB 2.0 Audio support.    After upgrading, I uninstalled the M2Tech driver. When manually searching for hardware changes, the new Windows driver was installed automatically.   I've only played a few minutes of 24/96 PCM files (WASAPI event mode in...

    History of the AKG K1000?

Can the AKG1000 cable be easily replaced by a skilled person? Is a specific cable required?   My K1000 has two problems with the cable. The outer isolation on one side has started to peel off, and now recently the contact in the XLR connector has become unreliable on headphone side..   Thanks

    M2Tech HiFace 2?

I just noticed something odd:   When googling about the Hiface Two driver, I landed on this page, which only has the very old drivers 1.61 and 1.70 (which could be useful for the firmware upgrade function) :   http://www.m2tech.biz/en/hiface2.html   The up-to-date driver is available on...

    M2Tech HiFace 2?

Hi,   Your screenshot looks like you have an old driver installed, or the upgrade of the driver was incomplete.   Here's what my driver control panel looks like, with the latest driver 3.34:     Concerning the firmware, there are two issues: - the current firmware 6.61 from June 2014...

Do you have the latest firmware? The update from June 2014.   The symptoms you describe are the same I had with windows 8.1 with the old firmware.   The version can be checked in MUSBAudio Control Panel --> Info --> Revision. It should be v6.61
