Sangean DT-180V reviews / opinions requested

Saw this thread out of chance. I've used the same SRF-59 for years - at least five I think. I'm shocked that Sony still sells the thing. It's the one AM radio I can actually use reliably on a bus.

    Gumstick Battery Charging

Most of the new gumsticks are NiMH. No memory effect. I wouldn't bother worrying about proper discharging though, gumsticks are cheap to replace, and last long enough even with no regards to proper charging/discharging. You got a battery powered portable for a reason, just use it!

Mac OS X: what's the best (safest) way to uninstall programs or drivers?

First option: If the program or driver came with an actual uninstall application, use that. 2nd option: If the program or driver's install application has an uninstall option, use that. 3rd option: drag program to Trash.

    Recommendation for portable CD player

If you need MP3 playback, I would avoid Panasonic products. Their interface is absolutely useless. You can't pause, reverse, or fast-forward through MP3 tracks.

What do you guys think about the Apple Mighty Mouse?

I don't like the Mighty Mouse - I found it fiddly and the ball was hard to use. Then again, I'm a weirdo who actually uses the trackpad exclusively on my iBook, and a trackball with desktops.

How can I transfer photos from an Windows XP machine to an iMac?

Assuming you're using iPhoto, all you have to do is network the two computers together, then drag the photos into iPhoto. That's it! Don't worry about any folders or anything, you can organize everything in iPhoto. You may want to copy over certain folders one at a time and create albums as you...

Does an MP3 player with these specs exist?

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I know I can always get the straight dope from all the junkies here Looks like an iAudio 5 is in my future. I'll let everyone know how things turn out.

Does an MP3 player with these specs exist?

I know I'm asking for a lot, so someone tell me if my search will be fruitless. I'm looking for a simple player that will only be used to listen to 24k MP3 encoded talk radio shows. No music (or rarely music), so (gasp!) sound quality is not a prime concern. Requirements: - 512MB flash based...

Mac: What Audio Player you use ?

I use iTunes exclusively on my Mac and PC for MP3 and AAC files. I love the drag and drop simplicity of it all. Then again I'm not an MP3 control freak, so I don't need everything tagged and named just-so. As long as everything is in a folder labelled by artist and album name I'm fine.

from the Mac to a non USB DAC

Get an M-Audio Transit and use the optical out on that. That's what I did, for $50 can't go wrong. Just don't use M-Audio's drivers, they're buggy as hell. Install the firmware loader only.
