PLEASE LET THERE BE A TRUE/DEDICATED DAP WITH EYE&BRAIN-FRIENDLY DISPLAY...

I'm not. The part you quoted is not in caps. I accidentally typed the title in caps and it seems you can't edit the title here. Do you know the answer to my question?

PLEASE LET THERE BE A TRUE/DEDICATED DAP WITH EYE&BRAIN-FRIENDLY DISPLAY...

Is there any audiophile DAP with a simple red display? I don't need unnecessary smartphone/computer features. I don't need a battery-sucking screen. And I most definitely don't need melatonin-suppressing blue and green light.

Looking for highly comfortable and neutral headphones that goes well with my amp and music

I think I'll buy the HD 598s. I just hope they sound much better than my Bose AE2s. Comfort is OK now, it's mostly sound quality I want to update.

Looking for highly comfortable and neutral headphones that goes well with my amp and music

Not just the headband. The hard (!) and big round (probably not the right shape for me) ear-pads as well. Heavy on the headband and heavy in general.

Looking for highly comfortable and neutral headphones that goes well with my amp and music

Hard bump on the top of the headband. Heavy, etc... I tried to soften them for a long time before I realized that they will never be comfortable (at least not for me). so I'm afraid to go through the same nightmare with some other AKG headphones now. :P (The K612s look like they have similar design)

Anyone who has tried both the AE2s and the HD558s??

Looking for highly comfortable and neutral headphones that goes well with my amp and music

So your understanding is not based on tests/comparing but rather Bose's bad reputation.. Not that I'm satisfied with what I got for the price, but considering that the AE2s and HD558s cost about the same I need to be sure that the HD558a are distinctly more transparent, so I would appreciate if...

Anyone who has compared the AE2s with the HD558s or can predict the difference in transparency?

They shouldn't be as veiled as the ones I currently use: Bose AE2. Would you say that the HD558s are significantly more transparent than the AE2s?

Looking for highly comfortable and neutral headphones that goes well with my amp and music

I see you have Sennheiser HD558.. I think those could be what I'm looking for. Maybe you could test the music with them?

Looking for highly comfortable and neutral headphones that goes well with my amp and music

I find AKG K-701 to be the most uncomfortable headphones. Are other AKG's that much different?

Recommended tube upgrade for X-can v8, using HD 650??

From what I've gathered it's between the JAN Philips ECG 6922s and the russian 6H23n-EBs. Which ones are best for my HD 650s?

Recommended tube upgrade for X-can v8, using HD 650??

Quote:   I don't know much about this but I wouldn't be interested in those. I don't even think you can use that type for this amp.

Recommended tube upgrade for X-can v8, using HD 650??

(Original tubes: JAN Philips ECG 6922. The right tube is broken.) Should I just get the same ones or are there others that would match my HD 650s better?   Thanks in advance.

HD 650: Tight bass and fast enough attack speed for dark psytrance??

Quote:   From what I've gathered; they seem to be very comfortable (this is extremely important to me), non-fatiguing (try listening to darkpsy or any other intense rhythm-based music for many hours with bad or too harsh sound) and they are said to do an excellent job with all kinds of...

HD 650: Tight bass and fast enough attack speed for dark psytrance??

I have a Musical Fidelity X-CAN V8. How are the HD 650's with this amp? Just wondering what I would have to put up with while I'm saving money for a better amp.
