I want to be able to run a digital optical cablefrom my Motorola (Comcast) DVR (Dolby Digital 5.1) to some (headphone) amplifier, that will then output a Dolby Headphone 5.1 to my Beyerdynamic DT-770 Pro 250-Ohm headphones. Cheaper is OK.

My sister needs some headphones for her Iphone (music), I gave her some used CALs (Creative Aurvana live), but it seems some previous owner had gotten perfume or cologne on them which she is allergic to, so I would like to replace them with some headphones in the $25-$30 range, any ideas?

My Beyerdynamic DT 770 250-Ohm headphones just arrived today, is there a recommended or prefered music or sound to use to break them in? I have a Muse 6922EH Tube headphone amp. but I'll be using my Asus Xonar DXs front headphone jack for the break in.

I've just got the crazy idea of replacing my DT 770 80-Ohm with the DT 770 250-Ohm, power sourse will be a Indeed 6922EH headphone amp. and a Asus Xonar DX (I might upgrade my Xonar too) ,so I'm guessing the 250-Ohm version have less "noise" then the 80-Ohm version?  

My Sony MDR-XB500 arrived 30 minutes ago, ear pads are mushy and I can feel the heat building up in a short time, they have bass.....mushy bass, I'm just glade I that i did not pay that much for these refurbs. So, i would declare that the Sony's MDR-XB500s should be nicknamed "The Mushy".
