I just recived my d-3 a couple of days ago and it really sings! TOTALY blows away the Phillips I was using. The headphone out has alot more volume ... probably twice at least also, much more detail, less noise and smoother highs.(Really helps with the Grados...). I have yet to check the line...

I was wondering what makes the cheap Pioneer dvdp's such a good cdp? Is it the dacs? I'm asking because I have the lowest model I think they make (dv-250) and was wondering if I would benifit by adding an outboard dac or would it be worth it with this model?

I've got a pair of Grado sr-60's and was wondering what would offer the best sonic improvement for $100-200. I am currently using a Pioneer dvd through a Harman kardon reciver headphone out. I'm kinda missing a low bottom end. Any suggestions?
