so where would you get a 120ohm adapter from - one that fits onto the plug on the headphone cord?

hello after reading through numerous posts referencing the 120ohm adapter for low impedance beyers, i still don't know exactly what form this thing takes. is it a special jack you plug the headphones into? is it an adapter you place over the headphone plug before plugging them into the hadphone...
