If the DP-S1 is a Japanese sourced model, Tidal was never available on it. (search this thread for discussion about it). That also goes for the Pioneer version.

I can't comment on most of your Tidal/MQA questions, but I believe others have mentioned that MQA tracks can be streamed to the 30r. Unfortunately it can't do offline Tidal playback due to it being a custom Linux OS, vs Android that is used on the 300r. There is an equalizer, but I don't know...

True, Tidal is a bonus for sure. One caveat though, since this is a Linux based player (vs Android), the license for Tidal does not allow downloads for offline use.
