My initial impressions were, the Denon's sounded unimpressive, and required quite high volume to sound good. After about a week of burn in... They sound amazing. Bass isn't as boomy, and maybe slightly less impact, but it's detailed and excellent. I can't even listen to my super.fi's...

with or without vocals. But also, a smooth melodic sound. Preferably more warm friendly sounds. In electronic music types, I like ATB, moby, infected mushroom if that helps.

I'm really liking them so far. The burn in has made them sound much better. I have a few questions though: It seems like I need a fair amount of volume to make them sound good. A bit louder than what I usually listen to with my iems. I have to turn the volume about half way on my 5.5gen...

I have a 5.5g 80gb ipod, and I love what rockbox does to the sound. It filters out the buzz, and the eq is great. BUT It's a pain to use. It takes atleast 1-2 min to scroll through my database to get to some songs. Also I can't use (or I havn't figured out how) to use itunes purchases...
