I've been considering selling my Phoenix and upgrade to a Leben CS300 to use with my LCD-2 and modded Denons. I use it as a preamp as well though and I really like having a remote since I sit quite far away from the amp. Today, I have a Paradisea+ DAC, so that needs to be upgraded anyway...

What balanced DAC would you guys recommend for a Phoenix + LCD-2 v2 setup? I don't really want to go over $1000, so I guess NFB-1 is basically my only choice, but is the Sabre chip a better idea than a DAC with dual Wolfsons with the LCD2?

Didn't kingwa say that the surprisingly large amount of orders meant he could cut the price a bit? Maybe he will stay at $1200 after July, but without the power cord, we'll see I guess. I've made my order, so I personally don't care anymore. People are funny though, no matter what you do...
