Woo's New Flagship WA33
Anyone use a WE 274B or a more obtainable PSVane replica WE274B? If so how does it sound compared to Tak 274B, PSVane 54UG, and other rectifiers?- Chronos

Woo's New Flagship WA33
I have the “regular” version of this setup with Wavedream Edition and WA33 Standard, I love this setup and think the synergy is great for my music genres (rock, edm, metal). Having said that I am curious how the WA33 EE vs AIC-10 compare when matched with the Wavedream since I’m deciding which...- Chronos

Holo Audio May DAC Speculation
My friend @Hiyono is trialing it and and sent me the upscaled files. The files are large but that depends on how high res you want. It does make a notable difference listening to these vs regular flac 16bit/44 khz. The trade off is the size of the file is like almost 1 GB for a 20 bit/768...- Chronos

Woo's New Flagship WA33
Tried the Tak 274B instead of the PSVane 5U4G and preliminary thoughts are improvement in mids being much more forward, overall smoothness, but loss of bass. Anyone else feel the same way? I’m using PSVane WR2A3. Any other rectifiers than can offer further improvement from the PSVane 5U4G...- Chronos

ZMF Caldera - New Planar Magnetic from ZMF!
I don't think the 2 compare, just so hard to compare fullsize to IEM. Having said that, I do hear some similarities.- Chronos

HiFiMan Susvara
Agree, Servo mode is much better than Class A. I felt like there was too much warmth, and possibly lack of details and dynamics with Class A. I was actually disappointed with Zahl until I listened again with Servo mode which I thought was excellent.- Chronos

What do you think about synergy with WA33 EE and AIC-10? How do the two amps compare? I’m thinking about upgrading to one of them with my Wavedream as DAC- Chronos

Not sure what clinical edge means but if you’re ever experiencing anything to sound shouty or harsh on the Susvara, it’s probably an underpowered amp or your DAC.- Chronos

Holo Audio Spring R2R DAC
I had Spring 3 KTE and have May KTE. May is superior for black background, fine details across the entire band, separation, and is overall technically better. Maybe slightly more neutral than Spring but pretty much same house signature, smooth, emotional, laid back, and amazing at female...- Chronos

HiFiMan Susvara
My post / list of "best" or highly regarded amps for Susvara, was in reply to @jlbrach 's post "that many seem to think 20K USD is needed for a great amp for Susvara." All those amps I listed are highly regarded and often as the "best" and they all cost way less than $20K with some being half...- Chronos

Have you heard the different amps with familiar sources at these different price points to come up with above generalization? I don’t think those price categories or attribute generalizations are accurate. I think if it more of on a spectrum or a curve, rather than weaknesses. Because quite...- Chronos

My made in Ireland ones don’t sound bright at all. It’s a neutral slightly warm presentations. It is really good at picking up details so maybe people think it’s bright cause of that?- Chronos

We are essentially saying the same thing based on what you wrote in the bolded section. If you can't trust the people you've found to be reliable when they use the verbage 'endgame' 'TOTL' or 'flagship' to describe an item to be of high quality, then I don't know what to tell you. Of course...- Chronos

What in the world are you tripping on? You can read it how you want, and if you're here to pick a fight, this isn't the hobby for that (who wants to fight on the internet over headphones? ). Attending CanJam and listening to multiple headphones is obviously just an example of the...- Chronos

Agree somewhat that pricing isn’t a good indicator, however reputation on here is another story. Those who attend CanJams and have heard lots of gear are probably going to be a little more reliable. And if many more similarly experienced people say the same thing… you can probably trust that...- Chronos

I can see both your points. The HD 800S hits deep and low, this is true. Whatever bass is meant to be there will be represented. However, what is lacking is the quantity of bass and bass emphasis in its tuning. Compared to other headphones it’s definitely less quantity than most.- Chronos

I have the edition as well, but XLR balanced version. Try it with a WA33 and you’ll achieve even more dynamics, energy, and bass. I owned the Bliss also, it’s tuned like the May.- Chronos
