I just started using Neo iDSD2 and have noticed that the "XBass" effect on it is way less pronounced than on my iFi Zan DAC V2...even with the low bass and presence parts are activated. Is my unit defective, or is the Xbass just more subtle on the Neo iDSD 2?

I love the ifi amps, from portables to Pro iCan, any of them with the bass boost button, with the V2s. That way I get to be a bass head on demand. These headphones take that bass boost like no other headphones I have heard....never becoming muddy.

So the Diana V2 headphones I was borrowing from the Cable Company, are on their way back home. My final thoughts are that they are the best sounding headphones I have heard to date. I normally buy your more bass head phones like the Sony MDR-Z1R, or the Fostex TH-900, splattered with a bunch...

Got the head pad, from amazon, that was suggested a few posts ago for the Diana V2. It's great...makes a huge difference. I could wear these headphones all day now. As a bonus, it doesn't make the headphone look ridiculous.

So I just got the Diana V2 as a loan from the Cable Co. I'm just running it out of the 4.4mm Pentaconn port on the iFi Zen DAC, with the iFi iPower x plug (I sold my higher end AMP/DACS like the NAIM DAC V1 and Chord Hugo 2 and various Schitt amps, when I decided to restart my whole system)...

Apparently Audio 46 got a batch of faulty LCD2 Closed headphones. So it's possible you listened to a defective pair...or maybe not.

Well it turns out the pair sent to me was one of the defective pairs...oh well.

I just ordered a pair, how will I know if it's one of the faulty pairs? I neither have a fancy measuring machine, or super trained ears.
