Introducing NEO iDSD2! The world's first lossless Bluetooth DAC/Amp...

I just started using Neo iDSD2 and have noticed that the "XBass" effect on it is way less pronounced than on my iFi Zan DAC V2...even with the low bass and presence parts are activated. Is my unit defective, or is the Xbass just more subtle on the Neo iDSD 2?

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

I love the ifi amps, from portables to Pro iCan, any of them with the bass boost button, with the V2s. That way I get to be a bass head on demand. These headphones take that bass boost like no other headphones I have heard....never becoming muddy.

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

So the Diana V2 headphones I was borrowing from the Cable Company, are on their way back home. My final thoughts are that they are the best sounding headphones I have heard to date. I normally buy your more bass head phones like the Sony MDR-Z1R, or the Fostex TH-900, splattered with a bunch...

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

Got the head pad, from amazon, that was suggested a few posts ago for the Diana V2. It's great...makes a huge difference. I could wear these headphones all day now. As a bonus, it doesn't make the headphone look ridiculous.

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

A quick update on my Diana V2 trial. The ear comfort of them is great...no complaints. However, I am getting bit of a hotspot on the top of my head. Although, keep in mind I do have a shaved (bald) head. Still I think Abyss should consider a little more padding on the headband. I do think I...

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

So I just got the Diana V2 as a loan from the Cable Co. I'm just running it out of the 4.4mm Pentaconn port on the iFi Zen DAC, with the iFi iPower x plug (I sold my higher end AMP/DACS like the NAIM DAC V1 and Chord Hugo 2 and various Schitt amps, when I decided to restart my whole system)...

Meze EMPYREAN - the First Isodynamic Hybrid Array Headphone

Chord Hugo 2 or Woo Audio WA11 Topaz for the Empyreans? I need a portable amp and am set on one or the other. I know the Topaz has a little more power, but I also hear it has a thicker sound...maybe it might muddy up the Empyreans, as they are voiced a bit warm to begin with. Maybe the Hugo 2...

Meze EMPYREAN - the First Isodynamic Hybrid Array Headphone

Has anyone found a smallish sized hard case, like the Slappa, that will fit the Empyrean? I need to be able to carry it in my backpack.

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

I am pretty set on purchasing the Diana V2. I currently own a Hugo2 but am considering purchasing the Woo Audio WA11 Topaz to power the Dianas. I feel like the Woo is supposed to have better bass weight than the Hugo2...but would I be giving up the sweet openness and detail of the Hugo2? Any...

Questyle CMA Twelve Master Loaner Program

Questyle CMA Twelve Master Loaner Program

"Conclusion Would I buy this? Yes, If I was still in the midgrade buying area of DAC/amps. My ears have been so spoiled by CANJAM NYC this past weekend that I'm shooting really high to get to the level of sound I'm currently after." Out of curiosity what higher end DAC/amp combos got you so...

I just ordered a pair, how will I know if it's one of the faulty pairs? I neither have a fancy measuring machine, or super trained ears.

    Sony Z1R....listening impressions only

Maybe that's why I think the Naim DAC V1 & Z1R combo is so strong. Naim has always been know for PRAT. It's double PRAT!

    Sony Z1R....listening impressions only

I've been loving my Z1R since I got them, but I've been struggling to find the right amp/dac for them. Last week I purchased a Naim DAC V1, and I am in heaven. The combination of that classic "NAIM sound" and the rich sounding Sony's, is magic. The bass of my headphones has taken on a much...

    Astell & Kern ACRO L1000

At minimum it really is a great looking amp. Going off topic for a sec...I notice you have the new green Fostex 900's. Assuming you've heard the red ones, have you noticed any differences in the sound?
