The VB's are fine for isolation. I don't have any problems with them. That said, I haven't waited at a subway station with the VB's but I have with the MT's and they are fine. The VB's have a similar fit (for me) and so I don't think it will be a problem. I also upgraded the tips to the comply...

I have both. Been listening to the MT's since July last year. Got the VB's a few days back. Also had the Atrio M5's and the JVC victor 500 at some point. So in effect, I look for the bass heavy phones as well. Music I listen to is varied - all kinds. I like a warmer sound signature in general...

Hi All, Can you please compare these two phones? I like bass but clarity as well and to give you an idea I went from Atrio M5 to Victor FX 500 and then MOnster Turbines. Do these really beat the Turbines in bass and clarity? It seems so after reading the reviews. Thanks in advance

I've been in this situation and i have advice that will prove invaluable to you - you'll thank me later if you want good earphones.. go big initially.. dont scrimp now.. once u like the earphones.. ull buy the better ones later anyway.. .. i did exactly the same thing.. i recommend jvc...

I would recommend the jvc victor fx500... they arent iem's.. they;re canal phones.. very comfortable.. i've used ipod buds, shure, UE super fi's, bose in ears and atrio m5's befoer these and i can only say - they are the best.. if you want great bass close to the atrios and excellent mid's...

try the jvc victor fx500.. it is pretty darn good. i am an ex-user of atrio m5's.. been a year with them.. i was blown away but the mid's and high's of the victor ... you might sacrifice 10% on the bass but you gain 50% on the mid's and high's.. i cant recommend them enough. and they are sooooo...

I've used the shure olive tips and they are pretty good. However i think the best fit was the original atrio foamies.

Well the atrios are gonna go.. no doubt about it. . the victor blew them away! im surprised.. both at my music preference and the performance of the victor!! they are the best!

Defineitely the victor fx500 from JVC should be in your list. excellent bass and quality and very short wire.. i need it because i have a SE phone and it has a connector so i need a short wire on my phones so i dont carry 2 m of wire in my pocket

shigzeo. Thanks for your replies to my pms' and the review.i pulled the trigger on these. im now having a tough time deciding between my atrios and these. they seem so close though the atrios are definitely warmer sounding and have the bass definition and thump. but these are pretty close...

I always thought I was a bass kind of guy. IN fact i started with shure e2c then ue super fi.3 then bose in ear , then atrio m5 (all for bass) and now victor fx500.. i think aprt from the shur to the UE. i have been raising the bar each time and thankfully without much of an increase in cost...
