mod: Monoporice 8323
Got a pair of these the other day to mess about with, the first time listened to them I noticed the bass was way too overpowering (for me) and drowned out a lot of the mids, highs echoed like they were underwater but I knew that would happen with empty cups (my HA-RX900's did the same thing). ...- cokker

Mad Lust Envy's Headphone Gaming Guide: (8/18/2022: iFi GO Blu Review Added)
Yes they are hard to drive! Give them a go with what you have now but if you find them too quiet try and pick up a Xonar DG or something similar. As mentioned before, grab a desktop mic as having one attached can be annoying. I use a crappy trust branded mic and it does the job well.- cokker

Review by 'cokker' on item 'Epiphany Acoustics EHP-O2'
Where do I start? Everyone who likes audio reproduction has heard of the Objective 2. Epiphany Acoustics has done a great job of building this amp and I'm a very happy owner!- cokker

AKG K601 & K612 Pro Owners... UNITE!!
Running a Xonar DS with LME49860 and the EHP-O2, sounds fantastic to me. Bass was a little thin at first but 24+ hours clocked and my brain (+burn in?) has adjusted to love it.- cokker

Reply to review by 'cokker' on item 'SMSL sApII TPA6120A2 Big Power High Fidelity Stereo Headphone Amplifier Golden'
Nearly owned this for a year and it's still doing me proud, volume was getting a bit scratchy when I adjusted it so I took the knob off and gave the poteniometer stalk a vigorous twisting, seems to have done the job :D- cokker

Review by 'cokker' on item 'SMSL sApII TPA6120A2 Big Power High Fidelity Stereo Headphone Amplifier Golden'
This is my first amp so bear with me lol. I bought this from ebay with minimal fuss and didn't have to wait long. I quickly plugged it in and had a listen, first thing I noticed was the audio sounded weird, soon worked out the RCA inputs are marked wrong, even the colours are wrong but not...- cokker

Superlux Express Train
Got my 668B's yesterday and they are great! When I first plugged them in and had a listen I wasn't too sure, the 2kHz region sounded weird like someone had messed up the EQ. So I left them playing some pink noise at medium volume for a couple of hours, when I came back I put on some DnB...- cokker

Superlux Express Train
Quote: Thanks, I'm leaning towards the 668b's as I could fix up the RX900 and then there would be no point of having two pairs of bass heavy headphones. I'm also not overkeen on the look of the XB's headband. That settles it, the 668b's it is :D- cokker

I'm thinking of picking up a pair of 668B's but wondering what the bass is roughly like. Do they respond well to EQ? I currently have a pair of HARX900's but they are a little old and the headband is being held together with zip ties one side. It's either these or a pair of XB500's- cokker

Wanna treat myself with some gear ;)
I think the Z2300 will do well, my mate has the Z5500 and that loud, very loud. Also, there are problems in the Nvidia camp at the moment so id stay away from the newer cards, as your computer is 4 years old id highly doubt it would run a 9600 anyway. If your keeping your old computer make...- cokker

Any Motorcycle Crash Experiences?
I feel for ya Jussei, by the sounds of it you did everything right and some! Even though you look after your self and your bike on the road it doesn't mean anyone else does, "treat every other road user like they were blind" was the best info i got, but even then that's not enough. When...- cokker

First time Head-Fi user needing headset advice
*Takes notes* Thanks people, so a pair of normal cans like the AKG K81DJ's or ATH a900's with a clip on mic is my best bet? *Hunts for prices* EDIT: a900's seem a bit steep for me, il look up the a500's thanks StealthR6.- cokker

First time Head-Fi user needing headset advice
Right, im at the point of exploding with confusion on what to choose. Im after something to use with CS:S etc and listening to DnB, dance and funk. I've narrowed it down to 3 options: Sennheiser PC151 (Good bass etc, build quality issues?) Plantronics .Audio 370 (Better sound? Better...- cokker
