On the topic of mircophonics, I would say RE-02 is horrible in that aspect. They sound great when I'm not moving though........

I see that hiss is a big issue, but is there a difference in sound quality besides the hiss?

Can anyone compare the A818 and the newer A8XX models? And can anyone confirm that the only difference between the A818 and the S630 is just the hiss?

If the difference between the A818 and the S630 is just the hiss, I'm tempted to go this on black friday. Is there anything else that the S630 offers that the A818 doesn't offer? And how does the A818 compare to newer A8XX models?

Looking at the replies you guys have made, I think I'm going to try and get a Sony S638F. I've been looking around, but it doesn't seem like there is any stores or sites that sells them. It seems most sites have the S730s. How is the SQ of the 730s compared to the 630s?

Honestly, I don't really mind open or closed. Closed would be preferred, but I just want the best sounding headphones for the money.
