Sennheiser HD 660S2 thread
I've had the Arya v2 before. Totally different beast. Really great staging. 660s2 has staging just above hd600 imo but i wouldn't go to a 600 type headphone for soundstage anyways. I find that in general Hifiman's headphones have been really great for live stage performance-type albums (as long...- PlanarBunny

LCD-X and XC Update
There’s a lot to catch up on with what pads work well with LCDX but, I’d just like to ask up front what your favorites are? I currently use the new stock pads on LCDX with the stock sound. Never been crazy about EQing, I enjoy experiencing the stock sound of headphones.- PlanarBunny

NITSCH x Schiit Magni Piety - Impressions Thread
LCDX and piety is such a great combo. Volume adjustment gets a bit tricky since they’re so damn efficient though. I have a topping D30 Pro that I can use to help volume adjustment but I particularly just love to pair the piety with my modi Multibit 1.- PlanarBunny

So fellas, what’s your favourite headphones combo’d with piety? Currently running my 580 on it with a modi multibit 1 dac. Luckily all my cans sound great out of it. I’ve got Elex, 600, 660s2, LCD-X. All kick ass.- PlanarBunny

I've enjoyed my time with these, but I'm moving soon and would like to downsize a little. First thing I wanna get out of the way, I'm the second owner and they're in great condition, however, if you see that metal cuff on the left, I put that there to hold it from sliding down. I can include a...- PlanarBunny

Moving to a new country and my Piety and A30 Pro don't need any adjusting for voltage, just new cables. The Asgard I have to send in and get readjusted, but I don't really feel like sending it in just for it to collect dust again. I use my other two amps way more. I'd rather sell it to someone...- PlanarBunny

Grado Fan Club!
Got the Hemps several months ago and I absolutely love em. Favorite pads are the Geekria L pads! They have a similar comfort to the G pads but sound closer to an F pad because of how close my ear is to the driver, and because of the driver still being exposed unlike with an S pad, Yaxi, or...- PlanarBunny

Reply to review by 'PlanarBunny' on item 'Grado Hemp'
A bit of a late comment, but your review is great for the Grado Hemp! Currently the Hemps are my daily driver. I got the Geekria L pad and it's got a sound that reminds me of my HD600. Great with mids and crispy treble, but never too much. The Geekria L pad is like a combination of the F and G...- PlanarBunny

LCD-X and XC Update
The weight isn't really an issue at all either it's evenly distributed. Pillows on my head and glorious bass. Love the bass extension. And it's not bloated it's similar to what I liked about the Arya having good bass extension so it has this "weight" at the bottom end from reaching into the...- PlanarBunny

Audeze LCD-X
(Copy and pasted from the other "LCD-X and XC Update" thread just in case so I could get some more answers). Hey bros! Recently did a trade with a buddy, my Arya for his LCD X. Currently loving the LCDX. There's some brand new pads on here and I was wondering, what's the usual life expectancy...- PlanarBunny

Hey bros! Recently did a trade with a buddy, my Arya for his LCD X. Currently loving the LCDX. There's some brand new pads on here and I was wondering, what's the usual life expectancy with the earpads? They're quite expensive too I just wanna know if I should get an extra pair for the future or...- PlanarBunny

Lovely mini shelving for your stack! I'm in the process of setting up for moving in the near future but once I get there I'd love to get one of these going for myself as well. Are there any guides/instructions for a diy shelving like this?- PlanarBunny

Hello! Got this Hifiman Arya v2 last year and I've taken good care of them. I'm the second owner btw. They sound great and work perfectly fine. Smoke free environment and we do have 2 dogs but they never come into my room. I eventually bought some Dekoni Hybrid Elite pads for them. I have the...- PlanarBunny

HIFIMAN Arya - Arya Stealth - Arya Organic :: Impressions Thread
I've got a v2 and I changed to elite hybrid. Much better all around especially for comfort. Sound though I don't notice too much of a difference between stock and elite hybrid pads. The stock pads would make an awful squeak noise as my glasses rubbed against them. If I could I'd buy another pair...- PlanarBunny

For sure. Thanks for the response! I have a regular Modi+ as a backup Schiit dac because I've been enjoying my Modi Multbit that I bought preowned. If anything happens to this one I could send it in for a repair or maybe towards an upgrade perhaps. But yeah so far I've had 0 issues with my Modi...- PlanarBunny

What problems would that be? Atm I have a Modi Multibit 1 (could be either first or updated version of this first model but idk for sure what version it is) and its performance is great. Have no real issues with it, but would it be worth it to ask Schiit about updating it to Unison? Idk if...- PlanarBunny

I'd say any tbh but I have a Modi Multibit 1 (might be version 2 of the first modi multibit but I haven't opened it up so I'm not sure) and it's a great pairing. Right now my setup is that with a Focal Elex. Great stuff- PlanarBunny

Sennheiser HD 660S2 thread
Awesome review! I feel the same way about my HD600 and 6XX vs other headphones I have. The original 6X0 headphones just sound too solid to really be trumped by anything else I have. However, I think direct upgrades from the HD600 to the 660S2 could be things like imaging, instrument separation...- PlanarBunny
