Everyone always has good things to say about the Mjolnir KGSSHV, thus why i bought a Mjolnir energizer myself. Never heard of the Aeras, but im new here so take that for what you will.

Glad to hear bro. Sounds like i made the right decision then. I literally got the last of Mjolnir Audio's Tiny Triode's too haha.

Thinkin of Energizers, i spoke with Mjolnir Audio's Birgir and he recommended the Tiny Triode for a better (Warmer sound sig) over the harsher/sibilant KGSS KLASSIK with my Sr-l700 mk2's. Though he admitted the KGSS KLASSIK was the superior amp just not for my earspeakers.

I just found a reasonably priced JR AUDIO 'KGSS' Electrostatic Amp in my country. Have you guys heard of this brand before? Do you reckon its legit and that it will sound alright?

I know some cheap cables can be faulty or don't sound too good, so i'm looking for something a little more quality.

Do you reckon i should get a decently expensive DAC for this set up or do you reckon i could get away with something like a schitt audio modius?

I understand where you're coming from. Birgir's hesitation was that the Octave 2 might make my Stax ear speakers sound too bright as they already have a bright sound-signature in his opinion.

So i've been speaking with the creator of these electrostatic amps recently (Birgir) and have been trying to sus out which would be the better buy, the limited edition Tiny Triode Electrostatic Tube Amp or the Octave 2? I would have picked the Tiny Triode as it's supposed to be more forgiving...

Do you think this amp would work well with my STAX SR-L700 MK2's? I was also considering possibly getting the Octave 2 Special Edition Electrostatic Amplifier, though i would need to buy a couple more stax cables and dont know how the set up would work with my headphones, laptop and phone...

No worries. I'm a bit confused by the set up. So i dont have a DAC just the headphones and a laptop/phone etc. So what exactly would i plug to the 2 left and right STAX cables at the back of the Octave 2 into?

I've been looking at Mjolnir-Audio electrostatic amps and i've noticed a lot of the connectors on these amps dont take standard cables, only electrostatic cables?... is this a standard thing or? Would i need to buy expensive electrostatic cables etc? I noticed the Tiny Triode uses standard...

So you reckon its worth saving for a STAX SRM-353X instead then?

Do you reckon it will sound decent at least, and ill be able to get the volume up to a reasonable level or will it struggle?
