NAD C356BEE - fine volume control via remote

Hi all, Somewhat odd question I suppose. I have an NAD3566BEE receiver and find that the supplied remote control does not give me fine level of volume control I desire. The receiver is capable of fine volume control directly, just not via the remote. I welcome any advice! TIA

    SONY NWZ-A10 Series

Thanks gerelmx,   That's a good point. Even so, I was hoping that Sony could implement a firmware update or similar that would log tracks listened to, and/or incorporate a Last.FM scrobbler into MediaGo. That way, at the very least, you could scrobble indirectly through your computer...

    SONY NWZ-A10 Series

Here's a random question: Is there are way to have the NWZA17 scrobble to Last.FM? I've looked into Zenses2 and QTScrobbler, but I'm not particularly tech-savy when it comes to these things.   TIA

    Doing away with the computer

Just re-visiting this old thread.   I recently took my first steps into computer Hi-Fi with the purchase of a 2TB Vortexbox and a Squeezebox touch. So far, I have ripped about 20% of my CDs to FLAC (automatically handled by the Vortexbox for the most part) and am enjoying what the Squeezebox...

    Doing away with the computer

Thanks for sharing your experiences with the Transporter. Thanks also for drawing attention to music servers/Olive - I am not really very savvy with computer audio, but I do want to start centralising my library as browsing through CD racks is getting old. Is the reviews for the Olive were a...

Just curious what you didn't like about the Transporter, as I have been thinking about taking that route myself.

    Sony players with Gapless?

Please bring back ATRAC! Or at least give the Japanese units an option for English menus.

SONY: ATRAC and English compatible DAP - where to buy?

I noticed the new "Western" Sony DAPs support AAC. Pardon my ignorance, but does this suggest that gapless playback might work on the new Sonys if you encode in AAC - or is gapless a hardware issue rather than an encoding issue? Thanks!

SONY: ATRAC and English compatible DAP - where to buy?

Thanks guys! I appreciate your thoughts. Dura: I have seen the A808 on a few ebay sites, and it is the model that is consistently advertised as having English menus. Looks like it will be the one for me. Good to know you have had good success with it. Any idea why ATRAC is still supported...

SONY: ATRAC and English compatible DAP - where to buy?

Hi all, My little Sony NW-S706F is just a little too small capacity-wise, so I'm looking to upgrade. 8Gb plus would be nice. Being an aging curmudgeon, most of my music is purchased on CD and encoded to ATRAC in Sonicstage. What can I say, I like gapless, and in the majority of instances...

Portable AM Radio for 1116 kHz

Thanks edstrelow, I should have looked at J&R earlier. It reminded me that companies like Sangean make pretty decent portable radios. I've emailed them to see whether their units will tune to the frequency I want. Cheers!

Portable AM Radio for 1116 kHz

Ooops! Just did the math.... Seems the Non-US version of the SRF-M97 has a 9kHz step beginning at 531 kHz. That should give me a hit right on 1116 kHz, of my calculations are correct. Now, to get a non-US SRF-M97

Portable AM Radio for 1116 kHz

Thanks for your post grenert! Sadly, he is looking for something smaller - iPod size or there abouts. I picked up the SRF-M97, but did not realise until I opened the box that the step size was 10 kHz. Arrghh! I'll keep looking, but it seems I'll have to make do with analog tuning. Does...

Portable AM Radio for 1116 kHz

Hi Folks, I'm trying to source a decent portable AM radio for my brother. Specifically, he wants to be able to listen to AM 1116 kHz (Australian Sports Radio - SEN). He is easily pleased, and his short-list of features are good reception and solid tuning. His current radio (brand...

Hey Canman, I noticed Tori is playing in Philly shortly. Check the local street press. If that doesn't tickle your fancy, make sure you are at the Trocadero for Motorhead and Corrosion of Conformity, March 16th from memory
