CanJam SoCal 2019 Impressions thread
Had a great show! There was so much to listen to that I went to both days for the first time. Rather than critiquing everything I heard, I'll choose the best headphone that I liked from each vendor: ZMF - Aeolus Empire Ears - Legend X 64 Audio - A12t Audeze - LCD-4Z Focal - Stellia Meze -...- joesmokey

CanJam SoCal 2016 Impressions Thread (March 19-20, 2016)
Had a great time on Saturday! Highlights of the show for me were 64 Audio's A10 (over the A12), HifiMan Edition X, ZMF Omni, and finally being able to check out The Abyss, HD800S, and Woo Audio WA22.- joesmokey

I had this issue with the included micro USB cable. Replacing that with one I already owned eliminated the disconnect issues.- joesmokey

Chord Mojo(1) DAC-amp ☆★►FAQ in 3rd post!◄★☆
Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I found that if I would tap the Mojo near the micro USB port, the audio connection would drop. I tried out some different USB to Micro USB cables and found a pair that works to not produce dropouts. Previously I was trying with the short cable that came...- joesmokey

Chord Mojo(1) DAC-amp ☆★►FAQ in 3rd post!◄★☆
Looking for suggestions on how to make my Mojo listening experience more portable. I'm using it with the Apple CCK (6+) and right now most slight movements cause the signal to drop for a second which pauses the music. I am not sure if it's the connection going into the Mojo that becomes...- joesmokey

Unfortunately the issue persists when listening on iOS devices through the CCK. Is it unrealistic to expect a driver fix for iOS devices, since we are limited from adding silence padding? (Apologies if this has already been addressed.)- joesmokey

It might be more appropriate to say 'slightly' warmer :). I definitely think they lean to a more slightly warmer scale from neutral.- joesmokey

OPPO HA-2 Portable Headphone Amplifier/DAC Discussion Thread
It helps mitigate the lightning connection timeout. It might take a second or two until the handshake kicks in, but you don't have to reconnect or change inputs. It's not like the USB connection drops when the iPhone is idle. It's a nice way of solving the problem of your music blasting...- joesmokey

OPPO HA-2 Portable Headphone Amplifier/DAC Discussion Thread
I've been using the HA-2 with iPhone 6+ for months. I love the HA-2, however the idle timeout issues with iOS are really wearing down on me for day-to-day usage. Using this at work is not the most ideal setup. Pausing music due to a co-worker interrupting and having to always remember to...- joesmokey

Show us your Head-Fi station at it's current state. No old pictures please...
I use them mainly for work and like them a lot. They seal incredibly well and don't leak sound at high volume, unlike many of the other closed cans. Weight is a bit borderline for me but generally not an issue unless I'm extremely tired (unlike the XC which were abysmal). It seems they do...- joesmokey

Audeze EL-8: The EL-8 is a must-hear at CES 2015
What is the weight of the EL-8 closed back like after extended listening periods? Is it possible to wear these for hours at a time or only in short bursts like the XC's? On paper these are a little lighter than the XC's, but I'm not sure how much difference that makes How about the...- joesmokey
