I did and still have the PNL error on the first one, I just had the stuttering issue way more often. I didn’t find a good way to get the error to test, so I just waited for stutters to happen.

I've gone through 3 units now from different places, and all have had MQA stuttering on them. I feel like something must be wrong with my setup now, but I'm working with the support team from Headphones.com who has been absolutely fantastic so far. I feel like there might be something odd going...

I honestly have terrible luck for some reason when buying electronics, and manage to get faulty units like half the time. I was using it in preamp mode for a couple of days to test out the KSE1200, but normally I have it in DAC mode. The new one has been completely fine for me outside of that...

Still working on the return of my original one, I just bought a second one off of Amazon to see if my issues were hardware related. I played an MQA radio station on Tidal all day yesterday with 0 skips/buffering of any kind, and no pnl errors. I definitely had a faulty unit in my first one.

I only had it happen literally the one time today, compared to it being every other song. I even was going out of my way to play MQA songs today. I think maybe that one was actually just a buffering skip for once? Either way, we’ll see if it happens again during the rest of the week.

Late reply, but I'm currently using the KSE1200 with an RCA to 3.5mm cable and its working with a green input light. I forgot the E50 has a preamp mode with adjustable volume on it. I'm currently using the -10db pad on the KSE1200 with the E50's volume set to -4.5db. It only lets you do half dbs...

For anyone following, I got a second E50, and have had 0 issues using it the past couple of days. Looks like my first one was a defective unit. EDIT: Right as I posted this, the bitrate changed in the middle of a song. Ugh.

If anybody uses a Topping E50 with Tidal and doesn’t have this problem, I’d love to hear from you as well. Mostly just so I know that this is a weird one-off issue.

The line in on the KSE1200 is a 3.5mm plug that requires under 2V of power.

Will the KSE1200 work with a Topping E50 and an RCA to 3.5mm cable? I read something about a signal strength LED, which has me worried I'd need something with a volume adjustment on it. I have an L50 as well, but would prefer to not add an unnecessary amp in the middle of the chain.

Sad day for me, I ended up returning my IER-Z1R. I realized the headaches I've been getting were from wearing them for 6+ hours a day during work. I went a few days with a pair of over ears and the headaches went away. :frowning2:

Both sides are the same on mine, but that happened when the cable broke on one side on my first pair. Have you tried reseating the cable?

I just went through the tip gauntlet, with Xelastics, SpinFits, Final E, Monster SuperTips, and the included ones. Settled on the Final E, with Xelastec coming in second but the Final E's don't slowly fall out of my ear like the Xelastecs were.

Anyone try a Linum cable with the IER-Z1R? Are you able to remove the cable without damaging it?

Well, you guys convinced me to order a pair and try them. Lucky for me, Amazon keeps taking my tip returns when I don't like them.

Did you put an adapter on the FInal Type E? I'm still looking to find which pair of tips works best for me. I like comply, but they don't work out so well when you have to keep removing them every few minutes and putting them back in.

Were the TS400 and Final Type E not too big for your Z1R? I tried putting a pair of Comply TS400 tips onto mine and the nozzle was too big, so I had to use a pair of TS200. I've used both those and the Sedna Xelastec tips, which seemed to fit.

I got serial #10106 and that cable broke, my replacement was #10105 and is completely fine.
