I just received one today, I'm impressed. It's been awhile since I've used a decent source. I'm using the HD6xx, and it sounds really great, unfortunately it also confirmed I need to get new IEMs. So I'll gladly take recommendations. I'm impressed with the build quality, two screen protectors...- brotherlen

Does iPod gen matter with all the portable DACs out there?
Looking at getting another dedicated DAP, curious if the ipod gens are less crucial (i.e. gen 5 video) now that we have more portable DACs? Also, would it be better to bypass all of that and look at the ibasso player with an amp?- brotherlen

$200 powered speakers?
Anybody mention audioengine? I've owned both the 2 and the 5s, both built well and pretty clear. Great speakers for the money I think.- brotherlen

I've been riding for a little over 22 years, currently taking a break due to injury. I also collect 80's and early 90s decks. I fav so far is a hot pink original Tommy Guerro- brotherlen

.... Pico Slim vs RSA Protector!
The protector balanced is something else, I use it with a set of JH13s at the house and the stock cables at drawing class, (they just fit over my ear better and I use the hp out on my phone). People rave about the protector and they should, it's a very solid and great sounding piece of...- brotherlen

Would an audiophile DAP sell?
I think that would be closer to the mark of realistically doable. I was actually thinking about that this morning, using CF cards. or a ssd drive (the ones that are already encased) I've seen a DIY mp3 player, we do DIY amps/dacs, I don't see why this couldn't be done. I would think the hardest...- brotherlen
