Denafrips 'Pontus' R2R ladder DAC - close up view
My honest opinion: Keep it on 2 weeks 24/7 playing music, I had EXACTLY the same experience with it being super aggressive sounding and within 2 weeks it became my endgame DAC and at $1100 it is simply a steal (NOS/OS slow 1.0) Good luck ^^- joseG86

Audio-GD DI-20
I have no idea what exactly happened but I'm super happy about you getting your sound back Couple days ago I had to restart my DI20 because Windows would not play anything and yet the Amanero was showing, this does not concern me at all as I'm so very used to have all kind of problems but I'll...- joseG86

I cannot say sibilant because it was a dramatic change to my ears, been abusing D8K since I received them and swapping the pads was like getting the Pro's again I've been 4 hours with them already and they aren't sibilant but I'm getting more detail than with F pads and my first impression was...- joseG86

My ears are too delicate for sibilances, I prefer dark sounding while keeping detail but I'm experiencing a new sound in less than 24h so I need to adapt first before any serious judgments I like it a lot so far and it takes 3 minutes to replace the pads ^^- joseG86

I just installed H pads and instantly feel it less dark sounding than w F pads, bass quality and quantity still there (V281) At the edge of sibilance with H pads to my ears, need to try G asap and also with HA-6A I think H pads would not really suit Pro at all.- joseG86

Thank you sir, it is the very first headphone I own where 100% I need NO EQ at all, super happy with it Yup but still a long way because am going to compare both extensively, specially the Pro with the same tuning as the OG thru EQ with G and H pads Sorry I'm such a tease but I must say OG...- joseG86

Got D8K, first impression is... It is as good as I've read everywhere, bass is simply magic and the highs doesn't pierce my delicated ears at all which is all I ask for (F pads) Could be the perfect brother of the D8KP but I'm a basshead, we'll see haha Will try with HA-6A later, so far with...- joseG86

I feel you... I missed a 1600€ unit recently in the listings but not the one I had the luck to get After the years I've been into this 'hobby' I know the sound I'm looking for and I'm so sure D8K will make me happy... Plus these "toys" are super "cheap" if they last a few years- joseG86

Edit: Ordered H type super cheap in UK shop, as I have G type already in my D8KP I can always switch  Yo fellas! I recently bought a super cheep D8K unit in mint condition, I wonder if ANYONE tried the H-Pads with it or if I should stick to G pads which is the common thing to improve...- joseG86
