Just as a comment driving IEMs it sounds great, unfortunately it doesnt really have the grunt to drive HE-6SEs even with the gain set to high. Reading the reviews here make it sound like it can easily push planars.... My experience is not so much. Again, great unit, sounds great with buds but...

Just got mest mkIIIs. They are amazing. I hear things all the time i never heard before. They give over the ear planars a run.

unfortunately I dont find IEMs giving me the same experience as over the ears...... You made me look at the timeless, great bang for the buck IEM though.

Tried a separate thread, but no joy. I have HE6SE phones, but the family doesnt like the leakage. I am wondering how the Mezes would compare as far as soundstange and musicality.

I have an HS6SE, which I really like. Problem is my family doesn't. I think its cheaper to change headphones than families, at least its more convenient. I dont want to ""Give up" too much, is the Meze close? Soundstage which one? Musicallity? I listen to everything except for HipHop...

OK so I use a Pi as a Roon end point. Works great. Also would like to be able to hit it with Apt X from Amazon music from a phone. Still would like to use a stand alone dac as I don't think any of the hats are up to it. Comments?

I doubt that anything listed above will push your phones. I have a Hip DAC2 and cables for my Hifiman HE6SEV2s...... I just upgraded my Geshelli V1 to a V2 (2 watts per channel and it marginally pushes them). There is a difference between sound coming out, and driving a headphone properly...

My HE-6's arrived yesterday. Unfortunately my rig wont drive them properly. Its a Soncoz SGD-1 feeding a Geshelli Erish V1. This was perfectly adequate for the HE-X V1s that this is replacing, but it cant handle the 6's. I cant find a spec sheet on the V1. The V2 Erish is 2 watts, anyone...

An odd combo granted a full sized phones looking for a portable right. All I can come up with is a Fiio Q3 or an IFI Hip DAC what else is out there. WIll be using 2.5mm balanced... Thanks for any input. Leaning Hip DAC even though its gotten poor reviews on Audio science forum...

I have a pair of Andromedas about 4 years old so not the 2020s..... I like them alot but periodically wonder if there is something that much better out there for under 2k.... Do the Senns or MESTs MkIIs blow these away or is it as I suspect incremental. If I had to fault anything on the Andros...
