Grado RS-1 vs PS-1 vs GS1000
Grado RS-1 (w/bowls) vs PS-1 (w/bowls) vs GS1000 (super-bowls) I'm not very good at writing reviews so I'm going to keep this very short and maybe add more in follow up posts. Also, I hope robm321 can add his own take if he wants. Basically robm321 and I had a 2 1/2 hour test using the home...- iamdone

Apple Lossless format coming to iTMS?
Here's the article. http://appleinsider.com/article.php?id=1834 This would be pretty cool if it happens. I'm not a big fan of DRM but it would be so convenient to buy from home and still have lossless files. With my cable modem, it shouldn't take too long to download.- iamdone

Amp Synergy with the GS1000
Well I finally got my Headamp GS-1. I only heard it for a few moments and then had to go back to work. I am truely satisfied. Basically with the RA-1 and GS-1000, you can hear the limits of the amp. Everything sounds good, maybe a little too warm but not really an issue. With the GS-1, the...- iamdone

New Lossless Music Store: Music Giants
Here's the link: http://musicgiants.com/story.html Look good for non-ipod users. For ipod users it's in WMA lossless format so it there any way to convert this to Apple Lossless with no loss of quality. I'm guess you convert it to WAV of AIFF and then to Apple Lossless but then is there...- iamdone

UE10 vs Sensas: A second take
Well I said I'd never post again but I thought I have something new to add. After spending much more time with the UE10 and declaring it the winner, I've been using the Sensas to sleep with. This is because the sensas are much more comfortable laying on your side with. I've just been...- iamdone

UE-10 PRO vs Sensaphonic 2XS (and RS-1): First Impressions
NEW EDIT: I think I made a final decision: THE UE10. This is based on extended listening sections. The sensas just get a stuffy sound the longer I listen but the ue10 seem to improve the longer I listen and don't have that stuffy quality. The ue10 just has this extra cripness to it. EDIT...- iamdone

iTunes AIFF
I just found out something I thought I should share. I was preparing for my Roku and testing slim server software. I noticed it says in the fixes they found iTunes uses a hidden tag for AIFF files that it can use too. The reason this is important is it allows iTunes to retrieve that file even if...- iamdone

Headsave PPA vs Transit using Ipod
Well I just received my Headsave PPA amp a few hours ago and have doing some testing. I compared the headphone out on the Ipod, the line-out of the dock using a fully upgraded Headsave Transit (comparable to the Tempo) and the Headsave PPA with opamp AD8610. I also hooked it up to a home DVD...- iamdone

Headsave Update
Hey, Headsave has updated their website. www.headsave.com I haven't checked it out except to look at the PPA. It's only $399. I doesn't look nearly as nice as the LaRocco Audio www.laroccoaudio.com but I'm sure they should sound almost the same and it's $600 cheaper.- iamdone

AAC vs Mp3 (256k)
I just did a test last night using AAC at 256 (iTunes for pc) and mp3 LAME (EAC high setting LAME 3.93.1). I didn't have my ety E4-S with me, so I used Senn. px200 and a Headsave Transit amp. I used the first 4 songs off Radiohead's Kid A for my sample. The AAC has a slightly wider soundstage...- iamdone
