I went the route of finding good sounding DAPs to enhance my IEMs. Found a couple that I liked including the Shanling M8 and DX300, but after I finished that phase, I've just been using the Legend X + iFi GO Pod and only use the DAPs on rare occasion. Your points are valid. Not to really defend the pricing since $400 is a lot to ask, but most equipment in this hobby has a lot of diminishing return. Like a $1k IEM is not 3-4x times better than a $300 IEM or whatever, but the kilobuck IEM is probably better which is what justifies the price...

If they started development of the app 2 months ago and finished by summer, that would be insanely quick development time. Takes a long time to make a good app

Has anyone tried fitting their customs with the GO Pod? I probably have medium sized ears and my case lid won't close completely with mine in there.

How long did it take to receive them from bloom audio?

In the Parameter image table, battery life is 7h + 14h from the case with ANC on. ANC off is 8h + 16h from the case

Yeah I have both. The 3 has a noticeable decrease in sound quality especially regarding sound stage compared to a wire with BTR5 and the BTR5 is not as good as a wire to a good DAP. There's also noticeable background hissing with my IEMs that I tried with it. The 5, I like more than 3 for sure...
