Question from a broke STAX lover who likes to crank up the volume. I've got the L300 and the SRM-252S, I'm super happy with the L300... I just love them but on any busy track or with deep bass I get distortion starting at medium volume... I can't get past 1-2 o'clock, past 3 it's unlistenable...

If you read previous pages on the D50, there's some issues: DAC is bad (some even saying it's terrible) and that it is better to use outboard DAC. D50 gets quite hot. I love the design, it's just beautiful... The size is also pretty good. I'd actually love to own one, it's in my wishlist...

Doesn't work for me. Double tap, single tap, long press but nada. From the album cover, song name, artist name, album name but it doesn't do a thing. The only controls are the visible buttons (shuttle, rewind, play/pause, fast forward, repeat, favorite the song) and swiping left, right, up or down.

Honestly if I could do it all over again, I wouldn't have bought this DAP. It's underpowered in every possible way.... On most Android apps it will lag quite a fair bit. It's very weak so it can't drive any power hungry headphones. It's 2020, nearly 300 bucks and they could only put 16GB on...

Have you installed the MQA driver from iFi? Aside from that it's just selecting the WASAPI mode in TIDAL for the iFi DAC. That was easy to get working.

Any special settings or requirements? I sold mine basically because I couldn't get it working with most apps. TIDAL stuck in green when it's supposed to be Magenta on Master tracks. Sony's native music player same deal. Playing DSD, MQA, 192kHz files and just showing green. Same experience...

For USB external DAC it seems to be restricted to 16 bit 48kHz because of some odd implementation on Sony's side, the USB DAC gets recognized and I thought in theory any USB DAC would bypass that restriction but it does not in this particular DAP... Seems like no app is able to bypass this...
