Low end. Cheap. Generic. Otherwise bang for buck cable thread!
Just a caution for Xinhs Graphene 8 owners: the cable is relatively thick, stiff and heavy. There is a slight bit of play at the neck of the mmcx housing and no visible stress relief there. While tip rolling, one channel mysteriously grew softer in volume for me. Turns out the connections had...- Musicoflife

Could you get the same improvement without mod just using PEQ? The tweaking needed seems slight.- Musicoflife

Thanks. Sounds like Qudelix has some work to do here. At least provide a way to identify each 5k.- Musicoflife

You can program which buttons to press for power on/off. I press both buttons together to do this, quite foolproof.- Musicoflife

Yeah the Timeless nozzle diameter is within Spinfit cp145 published application specifications, so it's a problem when it expands and falls off.- Musicoflife

One problem I found with cp145 and Timeless is the rubber grip expands after a few weeks and the tips slide easily off the IEM.- Musicoflife

My impression was ootb and in initial hours. It was, where did the bass go?! The SQ improved when I heard it next day. Insertion depth changes tonal balance as well. I have to tip roll and check my EQ each time I change something.- Musicoflife

Initially the treble sounded rough, and the bass subdued, like very noticeably. Tried various tips that fit my ears well so it wasn't lack of seal. Later both treble refinement and bass recovered and the bass came back with a vengeance! The resolution is best of the cables I've tried, and mids...- Musicoflife

I commend your reviews which covers how the product sounds both in stock form as well as after PEQ. I consider EQ to be the final tuning we users can and should do, together with tip rolling.- Musicoflife

Kbear Rhyme was an old favorite around here until Xinhs cables were 'discovered'. I have a Rhyme but it's in 2 pin. Wonder if I should get a 2 pin to mmcx adapter to try out my collection of 2 pin cables. Anyone have anything against the use of such adapters please chime in?- Musicoflife

Speaking from experience I suspect your USB cable or adaptor is not making good contact. Replug or change it. You'll know Q5k is in USB mode from the Volume page. If this doesn't work, you might want to check your phone setup.- Musicoflife

Xinhs 8 core graphene SPC. It's of Litz construction as are most Xinhs cables if you read the listing details. Yes it's supple and a little hefty. My best cable for Timeless yet, as compared to stock and 4 core OCC Litz copper cables. Tip: during sales the price can drop by almost half.- Musicoflife

I'm sorely tempted to do the same. But now that the market has seen a single planar driver iem that actually delivers - and the global sales, best selling over $150? - I bet we'll be soon seeing a raft of single planar offerings from the likes of Fiio, Moondrop, Dunu et al. Whoever makes the...- Musicoflife

I've been using the Xinhs 8 core Graphene Litz cable for a few days. It's hefty, but let's just say I like what I hear. For one thing the mids really flesh out. Need to do some A/B with my OCC copper Litz cable, but I'm loath to swap with mmcx.- Musicoflife

Been an audiophile too before the advent of CD and all this while, I do hear differences in speaker cables, interconnects, even power cables. Jcally EP05 , JC10 Bio-cel Endgame $16 worth $1000!
If these jcally buds are so good, you have to wonder why they're not in the mammoth earbuds roundup thread where they'll invite more scrutiny from the Earbud community. Reply to review by 'Musicoflife' on item '7Hertz Timeless'
Other upmarket IEMs may sound even more detailed but I believe it is due to their treble accents. After awhile they bring listening fatique. In contrast Timeless is detailed, natural sounding and allows longterm listening as many have commented This suggests its details are not forced by...- Musicoflife
