The Deals DISCUSSION Thread (READ THE FIRST POST!!!)
i think the original price was $150 -> $170 -> $200 (the $200 price hike was this year). with that in mind, I would be surprised if they go past 25% off. they have a 30 day free return policy on the hd58x, so you could just buy it, and if it's cheaper on BF, return the original set and buy a...- Shadowclash10

Audeze Mobius review / impressions
Honestly just be careful with it. Don't chuck it around, don't drop it on your desk, etc etc. I believe the crack issue should technically be solved on any of the post-Indiegogo Rev 1 headsets, but I've also heard reports of cracks on the Orbis and Orbis S, which should be post revision, so I'm...- Shadowclash10

Very late to the party, but if it helps, I know someone already made a 3D print design for a replacement yoke if you want it.- Shadowclash10

Audeze Filter
This is... interesting. The early impressions I got from the original email btw seemed to be that of a portable speakerphone, while the Indiegogo page also highlights the AI nosie cancellation. Honestly I can't imagine ever using a speaker for any online meetings or anything but I guess there's...- Shadowclash10

IIRC there's also a Waves NX head tracker that you can attach to any pair of headphones. I don't know much about it, it's >5 years old, so I would expect it to be inferior to the Mobius's implementation, but you might want to look at that too?- Shadowclash10

Audeze Mobius review / impressions
Agreed. For me, I actually barely use the Mobius with 3D off, and I tend to leave it in headtracking mode since I still get that little "wow" sensation every time I turn my body. If you don't care about having what is in my book, one of the best 3D audio solutions around, I think there might be...- Shadowclash10

Audeze Mobius review / impressions
1. I really don't know if it's fair to consider the Mobius to be a true "gaming headset". Sure, it has a mic attached, but so what? Does that change the core qualities of it? Does that put it on the same page as all these horrible "gaming headsets" from various brands, that have "gamer appeal"...- Shadowclash10

Just wanted to throw this in there, the headtracking is not at some software level or application-specific level - the headphones themselves have them built-in or whatever, so both the headtracking and 3D audio should work with whatever content you throw at them, period.- Shadowclash10

Yeah, I feel like mine has too. When you say decayed, do you mean flattened? Or do you mean actual decay, where it starts to flake? For the headband, according to my research, you got a couple of options. Sennheiser HD418 headband replacement (unscrew the screws next to the headband and...- Shadowclash10

Honestly, I've just let HTRF stuff set to the default settings. Generally 3D Manual/7.1/USB with either Flat or Warm EQ.- Shadowclash10

So, they discontinued the gel earpads a while back. The only official ones being sold, period, are the same standard ones you already have. If you've been using them for over a year, and they feel flat/worn out to you, and you want to replace them for that purpose, you can buy the standard...- Shadowclash10

The yoke break point is a huge issue on these. Audeze really should have done something to fix this. If you contact support, they'll probably offer you a pretty decent out-of-warranty deal, something like $100 for a B-stock replacement unit. Just wanted to note, their higher end headphones...- Shadowclash10

Audeze Mobius Review / Preview - Head-Fi TV
I know what you mean. That's actually kind of what i was referring to when I meant QC, although that might not be the most accurate term here (it's not like they have problems from Day One, only after some usage). Maybe they just have a bad supplier?- Shadowclash10

Audeze Mobius Review / Preview - Head-Fi TV
Oh, definitely. Yeah, the Mobius is a great headphone in terms of sound, feature set, etc. The build quality is absolute garbage and it feels like I've seen waaaay more QC issues on these headphones than on basically any other pair in the enthusiast space. Everything from firmware issues (though...- Shadowclash10

Are we talking about whether people just generally have had issues with their Mobius (the answer is definitely yes)? Or specifically the sound issues?- Shadowclash10

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
Just got an email from Audeze about the Euclid. At first I was really hyped upon seeing that they were closed-back TWS, but then I saw the price tag ($1299) LOL. Considering the price tag, and the fact that they can be used wired (detachable MMCX cable), they seem more like high-end IEMs, not...- Shadowclash10

I disagree. I don't think the A50 is a good pair at all. Numerous QC complaints for one. They also are pretty non-versatile - you can't even use them wired!- Shadowclash10

I haven't noticed that specifically.... You should contact Audeze customer support. I have noticed that on my main PC, my Mobius is very quiet recently compared to how it was when I first got it (just a few months ago). I'm listening to everything at about twice the volume level (40 vs 20). I...- Shadowclash10
