How would it compare to FH7?

I can't hear any difference between AptxHD vs LDAC. Different filters also seem to be doing not much at all, though I'm talking about BTR3k.

Just tried putting both my hands around it and it still works. Actually it has really good range. I'm using aptxHD so maybe try that?

BTR3K has better battery life, is noticeably smaller and lighter and since I'm using it only with IEM more than enough power. I also had BTR1K and wanted to keep the form factor so that's why I opted for it.

Great to see FiiO improving this great little device! I made the update but the sound was very different and wrong, so I looked at EQ in Control app and my custom values shifted. I have reset the EQ, set it again and now it's fine. One small request: Implement a bass boost switch in the app :)

I love how bass boost works on FiiO's wired amp's like Q1 MKII, E10K, K3 etc so I simulated it on BTR3K. It would be nice if their Control app had a virtual switch for that as well. I have set it to 31.5@+6, 62@+6, 125@+4 and enjoy it.

BGGAR made a review on those and mentioned they are very weak in the bass department and his measurements show switches make barely 2db difference - that's borderline undetectable :-/

Tnx for the in depth elaboration! I just bumped all freq's by 4db, and other even more :D Didn't notice any distortion but I guess that's IEM dependent :) Maybe I'm even getting distortion but don't know what to listen to ?

Is anybody else experiencing volume drop by 4db as soon as they enable the EQ in FiiO Control app?

I'm using BTR3K with FH1S and I'm very pleased with the sound and performance, however enabling the equalizer in FiiO Control drops overall volume by what seems like 4db. Is this intended and can it be enabled without the volume drop?

I purchased FH1S after owning F9 SE for almost 3 years and it's an upgrade in any way imaginable. FH1S needs a bit more volume to be as loud as F9 but can be driven with BTR1K without issues and gets very loud at 80%. I also tried it with E10K and Q1 mk2 (bass boost on) and they really shine...
