Low end. Cheap. Generic. Otherwise bang for buck cable thread!

I have it and i love it! Light and pretty compared to many other similar priced swappable cables. For sound it adds smoothness and airiness but is not as dense as compared to many pure copper cables. it does better than most other copper cables, including Hakugei rice imo

[FiiO BTR15/BTR5 2021/BTR5]Bluetooth DAC and Headphone Amplifier Discussion & Impressions Thread

likely not normal. Didnt notice any auto restart, but I get loud white noise when switching sample rate on android (but most people wont fumble with sample rate setting anyway).

[FiiO BTR15/BTR5 2021/BTR5]Bluetooth DAC and Headphone Amplifier Discussion & Impressions Thread

I only use iems. Soundwise only, I prefer DC04pro, but it's close. However, if you are new to the more expensive dongles, and have no chance to demo them, I would recommend Tanchjim Space instead for its safer tuning and higher resolution than the others. DC04pro has a more fun sound but may be...

[FiiO BTR15/BTR5 2021/BTR5]Bluetooth DAC and Headphone Amplifier Discussion & Impressions Thread

Hmm did you come from Dongle madness? XD I remember the reviewer doing a comparison and saying they sound similar. In my own experience, they don't sound very similar. DC04 pro is smoother and has more dynamics (low volume parts are quieter, louder parts are louder). BTR15 via bluetooth has...

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

Btw has Andy reviewed the tempotec bhd pro? Have been using dc04 pro, tanchjim space and bhd pro for a while, and while I rated bhd pro the lowest at first, I use the bhd pro the most now. I got used to its default warm tuning and heavier oozy note weight and fell in love with it. Somehow it...

Recc this 6N SPC cable, if you are into light and thin cables that do not tangle easily and are inconspicuous. You can hardly feel it on your ear, so I use it when going out. Qdc option can be requested via chat as well. https://a.aliexpress.com/_ooAYJXW

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

I saw your post and was curious about applying the same to my setup but instead of dongle, it is a usb dac (SMSL SU1) instead of phone as source, it is a desktop pc instead of power bank, I used the wall socket instead of usb hub, I used a usb isolator that allowed power input instead of iems...

Just received mine. Packaging is pretty fancy for a chifi cable. Feels like a solidly made cable. Swappable plugs fit very snugly. Overall the cable is heavier than it looks.

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

Interesting, BHD Pro 1st firmware update got released. I think they will release 5 more later. https://www.tempotec.net/pages/firmware-download With the new firmware, BHD pro tonality sounds more neutral (but still a lil warm) than the 1st firmware, and removes a lot of the congestion in the...

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

I believe the 4 filters for Tanchjim space are in order: 1 (short delay fast roll-off) 2 (short delay slow roll-off) 3 (fast roll-off) 4 (slow roll-off) as per usual CS chip naming lol. The default filter is number 1, which I find the most comfortable among the 4. Screenshot of the app. It...

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

I was advised from audioscience side that you have to remove all Chinese characters from the folder path. Now it works for me! I tested the volume saving and it works for both 3.5 and 4.4, unplugged and replugged a few times. Whew... The space is useable again! There's an app for this firmware...

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

Seems there's a firmware update for Tanchjim space to fix the issue of volume not being saved on board. https://tanchjim.com/services/ However, I haven't managed to get it to work. The update tool was unable to sense the firmware hex file for me (no green bar).

I find comfort in your comment, because I had the exact same concern with the E1DA DAC as well lol XD. Almost blew my ears 3 times and made me avoid any dongle without volume buttons. It had a volume limiter later on but oh well, it's like the boy that cried wolf at that point. on space's...

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

I wish more reviewers talked about the lack of volume memory on tanchjim space. But I found only 1 reviewer who talked about it and dismissed it as a minor inconvenience. I guess maybe since I'm a low volume listener I care too much about my ears health and the space gets me sweating bricks when...

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

hmm ok I turned off android battery optimization for uapp, then left it playing out of 4.4mm at a slightly higher volume than I'm comfortable with (since I listen lower volume than most people) while leaving the screen black. In 90minutes, it used 7% of my Samsung A52 5G's battery (4,500 mAh)...

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

I could answer this in 2 ways XD First, it remains cool to the touch after playing for some time out of 4.4mm. this is impressive as dc04 pro would heat up a little. hmm I don't know how else to describe how warm it sounds besides how I already did in the original post. It should be my warmest...

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

For me tighter sounding is usually a characteristic of warm sounding stuff. Like the singer's voice feels like it's being squeezed through and output in concentrated form from a smaller pipe/area as opposed to a leaner sound where the singer's voice feels dispersed/spread/sprayed over a larger...

Just received my tempotec bhd pro. Heavier than it looks. Looks pretty with its matte finish and see-through to the chip inside. No firmware updates yet to introduce settings to change the sound, so this is stock, but thaankfully it remembers volume on board the dac (i'm looking at you Tanchjim...
