I also have gotten recently the S8. Have you tried the Spring tips? It's the most spacious sounding tips that I have tried with the S8.

I also have to mention that I use a easily chopped foam tip instead of your ordinary silicon or whole foam tip, so my perception might not work for your preffered tip.
