Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

LE audio is different than the LC3 codec. I think S23 does not support LC3 yet.

Falcon max seem so interesting, too bad these are region specific. I thought of importing these in US at a premium cost, but the specs show battery life of 4.5 hours with ANC on. Not going to chase dragons here and much rather wait for Senny MTW4 Also found this review praising XMEMS in Aurvana...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Short answer, not a refined sound. Bad: Thin mids, lack of sparkle in treble, mid-bass is missing. Mic is not good when not in a quiet room or out walking on the street. No wireless charging(unless you spend $$ on another case) if you care about it. Good: ANC is the best amongst all TWS...

You are right, I think the multi-tech multi-driver tuning and implementation is not something most are able to do which sounds natural like a DD. The only one that sounds "natural"(like a DD) to my ears is Buds 2 Pro. Every other dual/tri driver with a BA has something weird about it, especially...

Sadly that deal was limited I think and is now over...might be able to get 10% off still (https://www.jlab.com/pages/sign-up-for-jlab-mailing-list)

AZ60s have more bass than AZ80s, but AZ80s have better overall sound, clarity and openness. I maybe a minority but didn't like Status 3ANC at all, the bass sounded muddy and boosted. The JLAB bass is much better than any other buds I have tried. They have both sub bass and mid bass in spades.

Thanks! Actually I just tried the Spiral Dot++ and these help with taming the intense bass and squeezing out max treble from these. Liking the sound signature better now, at least until JLAB makes the EQ more effective...

AZ80 seem to have more open sound, vocals are more forward. JLAB epics seem to hit mid-bass hard which IMO overshadows the vocals and openness. JLABs have much better sub bass than AZ80s, no comparison.

Yeah hopefully they fix the EQ in new update. The ANC might have to do with the seal too. I used Azla crystal tips which cause these to protrude in ears giving it a much better seal than AZ80 for example, but yes I have Bose Ultra buds and they have the best ANC of everything I own including...

Received my JLAB Epic Lab as well. Here's what I think! - Fit and finish is premium, case is relatively small(similar to AZ80 case) but it feels quite heavy! - Dual driver separation can be felt, especially for the treble. It is not metallic, but it is on the lower side. It is not splashy but...

I had the exact same issue with my QC Ultra buds, also the left one. What worked was repeatedly putting both buds in case and charging the case then remove charger cable and repeatedly insert remove from case. Not what one should expect from premium buds..

Seems so from the user manual for their older TWS:

I got the JLABS TWS which seem to be neck in neck with MW09, except these are Bluetooth 5.3 and battery life is slightly lower. However, these cost 50% less and has a knowles tweeter so I am looking forward to see if these sound better than Buds 2 Pro, since these also have LDAC.

Well, looks like Samsung has either disabled LC3 or has issues on latest Android 14 on S23U. I was all excited for LC3, hoping this is not some stupid corporate decision to exclude LC3 in favor of SSC...

Just did some A/B/C between Bose Ultra buds, AZ80 and Buds2Pro. It could be because I have a Samsung phone but I can't believe how full and rich the Buds2Pro sound. Perfect quantity of bass and treble, mids are as good as it can get in a TWS. These are so much better sounding it is no contest...

I am no expert but I think for true 3D audio, especially if it is Dolby Atmos you want Metadata as well even if it is for headphones. Some apps like Netflix etc. provide the metadata but the headphones/buds that support Dolby Atmos/3D audio should be able to read/decode it for true effect.

Jabras have one of the best mic for calls, good sound and great battery life. ANC is very good as well, comfort is supposed to be great but for some reason didn't fit my ears well at all and they'd just fall out. Definitely worth it at that price. However, no hi-res codecs with an Android phone...

RTings has the frequency graph for QC Ultra buds. https://www.rtings.com/headphones/reviews/bose/quietcomfort-ultra-earbuds-truly-wireless I find QC ultras have boosted bass which gives that reverb style bass but it lacks in mid-bass. Mids are okay but on thinner side. Treble seems smoothened...

Weekend shoppers, Bose QC Ultra are currently selling for $50 discount, which is a great discount on brand new buds. @Bhelpoori as I thought you had some interest in these.

Also wanted to add Bose QC Ultra immersive sound is a LOT better than Jabra Elite10's Dolby Spatial sound. I would have thought Dolby Spatial would have sounded better but I guess either Jabra needs to optimize it or Bose's immersive audio is just better. However, I am not fan of these 360...
