Help me convert my roommate from Ibuds... recommendations needed! ($30-40)

I really cannot recommend the RE2's enough, but sadly even though they're on sale they still cost $50(I've heard normal price is $100) But you can find a Sennheiser CX400 for $35 on amazon, not quite as good as what you get for $20 more, but it will probably have a more powerful bass to it...

What should an IEM sound like

I'd prefer it to sound like an open headphone with amazing soundstage but it just sounds like an IEM(well mine does anyway) The sound is inside your head, but the soundstage on my RE2s isn't half bad.

What kind of sound signature do you want? How important is isolation?

Test your hearing and your head-fi gear

I correct got down to -24db on the distortion with my somewhat messed up Sennheiser HD485s, somewhat fun. Guess either my setup is good at hiding distortion or my ears are not so golden. Made it to .75hz without messing up on the adaptive pitch.

Head-direct RE2 VS. Phonak Audeo PFE

lol $150 IEMs vs $50 IEMs, of course the Phonaks are likely to be better. You should be comparing the Phonaks to the RE0s.

    Shure E4C vs Head-Direct RE2 vs ???

SCL4's are good when you can get them cheap, but I don't think they're worth the full retail price of $180 or however much they go for.

Just got my RE-2's, quick impressions...

Have you burned them in yet? I found mine improved a lot after a 14 hour pink noise burn in over night but not everyone has the same result when burning these headphones in.

    Help with Ety ER-6i

This is odd, now it feels lke im hearing my right ear better, what the hell. My right ear canal is more shallow than my left, I guess the smaller flanges are sealing better in my right now. Comply tips seem awfully expensive for disposable pieces of foam. But my RE2s do sound so much better...

    Help with Ety ER-6i

I just got my RE2s today and I'm experiencing something similar, it doesn't feel like both ears are getting sealed or sealed the same with the large biflanges that came with it. I can't really tell if the balance is off or not, its either not that significant or my ears aren't sensitive enough...

[Please Help Deciding] My First IEM's

I'm thinking amped RE-1's, but that would run you closer to $150, but if the RE1's are anything like the RE0 and RE2 then it should be a bang for your buck monster. Juding from a review I read on these forums when amped they perform close to Triple fi 10 IEMs which cost $300. I think...

RE2's are going to be lacking bass, you should probably look into NE-7M's for a budget buy.

    Sennheiser CX55 CX-55 CX 55

NE-7M's are certainly better if you get a good seal on them, the point I'm trying to get across is I don't think the CX55's would compete with other offerings but I may be wrong.

    Sennheiser CX55 CX-55 CX 55

Just to throw it out there, RE2's are returnable for 30 days, also they are dynamic driver IEM's. http://www.head-direct.com/product_detail.php?p=23 I don't think CX55's are going to isolate a great deal better than nuforce's.
