Holo Audio Red Streamer
I'm considering replacing a Pi2AES with a Holo Red to feed AES into a Yggy. My head says the sonic gains could be marginal though.- nickv

WTB an acrylic case for my PI2AES. Preferably from someone in the UK or Europe. Either colour acrylic (black or clear) I'm not fussed. Shipping and customs to buy one from source in the US is just too much.- nickv

NITSCH x Schiit Magni Piety - Impressions Thread
Excuse my complete ignorance here. I have a pair of Verum 1s which are low impedance. I believe they are rated at 12 ohm. From what I'm reading the Piety may really struggle with a low impedance can like this. Is it even worth me trying them?- nickv

Schiit Two Channel Clubhouse
I'm flip flopping between a significant DAC upgrade from the Modius to Yggy in my 2 channel set up and whether this should be an OG or a LIM. I have a pair of Magnepan LRS to pair it with. Not sure which way to go given the relative strengths of each, and as I live in the UK there's no stock or...- nickv

Schiit Yggdrasil Impressions thread
On paper which of the Yggy variants would synergise better with a pair of Magnepan LRS' fed by a Hegel H360? I do like detail retrieval and the LRS are very transparent. From what I read the MIL would be too forward/aggressive and fatiguing in this chain - correct?- nickv

Schiit Modius discussion - $199 balanced AK4493 DAC
Really basic question coming up. I'm in the UK and the Modius has just arrived and as we know it comes with a US adapter. I have a US-to-UK adapter coming in the post but could I use my existing UK USB plug that is rated at 5V output and has been powering my Modi 3?- nickv

Schiit Audio Bifrost 2
Currently weighing up a purchase of the BF2 to replace my Modi 3. It will sit between an Allo Digione and a Hegel H360 powering a set of Maggie LRS'. I prefer the Modi 3 to the internal dac on the Hegel! It has more acoustic mass to my ears, more heft! I'm hopeful that the step up between the...- nickv

iFi audio ZEN DAC - EISA Award Winner 'Best Value DAC 2020-21!
I'm thinking of buying the iPurifier to connect between my ageing laptop and the Zen Dac. But does the Zen Dac already have iPurifier tech? Will there be any point in putting the iPurifier in this chain? Would putting an iPurifier in the chain mean I would need to power the Zen Dac from a PSU...- nickv

Earbuds Round-Up
M Enjoying the MS16 right now. They are very forward and much louder (efficient) than I was expecting. Very fun sound, particularly in the mids which are very forward. Agree about the cable, too rubbery. Soundstage is pretty wide and they have quite an airy top end. I can see myself pulling...- nickv
