Strange. Now as usual after it finishes downloading it asks me if I want to update now & after pressing OK, installs & reboots for me.

mp3s (or most other file formats) contain metadata that list the artist, album, year, genre, etc. These are the tags I'm referring to. When you say your files are going into a folder I very much doubt they are actually being moved anywhere, what you mean is they are displaying as "Unknown...

Never seen this happen. Are the files in question tagged correctly?

I'm also on standard 3.3, & only use files I've bought or ripped myself (mostly FLAC), & have a 128GB card. I have no real issues apart from having to set the Bluetooth codec to SBC (which became a thing with the 3.x updates), which is what it should have been anyway. Nowhere near 20,000 files...

Problems with tags on a file? There's a program I downloaded (from a link here or on Facebook?) ages ago that will check them for you, called HibyMusic Checker. Anyone remember a link for it?

Yes, second me on this. The radio function on the R3 is great, but only really of any use at home (where I already have a radio). Would be great for work, but that requires me to click OK on an acceptance screen, so I’m currently out of luck.

Not having any issues as long as I stick to the appropriate Bluetooth Codec (SBC in my case). Seems earlier firmware was pretty forgiving if you didn't set the right codec for your Bluetooth devices, now get the wrong one & it's likely to reboot or not play. Only reboots I get are *very*...

Nothing important, but a little sloppy...message when there's no new firmware: "You\'re on the latest firmware". Guess someone tried to escape the apostrophe incorrectly. Speaking of which, would still be nice if the bug where you can't delete a folder when the name contains an apostrophe could...

I switched to using the Files view pretty quickly 'cos of the Various Artists issue. TBH I sort of prefer that anyway, as my last few players have worked that way.

That's the standard bluetooth codec. I had to switch to that otherwise the R3 crashes, but in my case that was what I should have been on anyway. Not sure if any aptX people are having issues too...

You need the station links added to the file in the form: name, url e.g. BBC Radio 6 Music, http://bbcmedia.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbcmedia_6music_mf_p Note you need the actual URL for the stream - some stations will use a link to a file that *contains* the link.Only certain forms of stream work...

Same here, anything but SBC crashes the player as soon as I press play on any audio file (mp3 or FLAC). Probably should have had it set to SBC anyway for my Funcl W1 earbuds, but not good that it just crashes if you don't have the right codec.

Been playing them on mine, mostly lengthy radio programmes I've downloaded that were broadcast in AAC. I do find it doesn't seem to always start straight off, or maybe it's just a delay in starting due to the length of the files? Often end up pressing play a few times - guess I need to just do...

Lots of people use players at public events/public places, where they want each track mixed into the next for a continuous soundtrack. Been in numerous bars & dining establishments where the music is from someone's player. Likewise parties & get-togethers.

...think the file needs to have UTF8 encoding too (if it doesn't already) Format of entries in the file is each station on a new line &: station, url

This problem was introduced in 3.0. I've mentioned it on the Hiby Facebook page & a few others there said they have the same issue. No response yet. I've gone back to 2.1 for now, as my earbuds drop connection really quickly (a lot less than 10mins), so this issue is particularly infuriating.

Also, anyone seeing the Bluetooth details screen (the bit that starts with 'Device name', 'Quality'... etc) not appearing as consistently as it used to? Always used to appear regardless of the status of any Bluetooth activity, find now that if my Bluetooth earbuds switch off & I reactivate...

Don't recall if this has been mentioned before...tonight I was using the wireless upload capability to put an album by the band O$VMV$M on my R3. Within my Music folder created one called O$VMV$M, & another called O$VMV$M (2018) under that, but when I uploaded the files they just disappeared off...

Yep, same here. Really like it, works fine for me. Don't do Tidal, just play my own collection. Don't even shuffle much TBH.

It appeared I'd successfully copied 100GB of files onto it initially, it also showed in AOMEI Partition Assistant as being 256GB, so not sure. Too dead to test now.

Been using a 128GB Samsung EVO with no problems. Just bought a 256GB, copied from player onto new card in adaptor. Put the new card in player & update database seemed to hang after 300 or so files (I have 90% FLAC). Card was formatted as exFAT untouched, but tried to wipe & delete...

What theme are you trying to load? If it's Steven Van Geert's Hexagon theme, then that is a zipped file already, & you just need to place it in the folder, no zipping or unzipping required.

No problem at all with latest (this morning) firmware. Folder called theme, theme file in there, System settings -> UI Theme -> Use custom theme shows me the name of the theme, then just select it & it drops into the new theme

Must admit I haven't noticed it much but there's been a couple of new releases I've heard over the last few weeks that I thought started very suddenly indeed, almost like they were missing a fraction of a second, & I'm now wondering if this is the same as you're experiencing? Next time I get it...

Hiby have just posted on FB that Error 4007 is because people are attempting to play expired songs. Looks like the Tidal API is returning some songs that are no longer there, there's going to be a mid-October update that removes those tracks from the list
