I'm on the same boat. I'm currently using a Marantz CD5001 to a WA6 to K701. Would it be a good idea to upgrade to the SA8001 even though I don't have a lot of SACDs?

I listened to takezo's advice about the power cord, and wow! I wasn't expecting this big of a difference from a power cord (regular computer power cord before).

I had a similar problem. I pulled the tubes out and plugged it back in. The hum went away. Hopefully it's the same for you.

Planning a trip to Guangzhou and Hong Kong for June 2008. When things get finalized, I guarantee I'll be asking more questions. How are the prices of XRCDs (mainly local artists) in Hong Kong? If prices are good, I might just hold off ordering them and just go nuts when I'm in HK.
