Well it does affect the lower midrange and still subbass does not rumble. It's a BA set. But it's perfect for the right music: k-pop, j-pop/rock and metal are just wonderful- hungryewok

I'm also waiting. NP is a masterpiece. Switch On fixes the low end, but male vocals suffer a little.- hungryewok

It's a matter of trust. I trust AuR to not **** me over with pricing. And given the fact that Aehta is priced below Alita, I assume there's something else being worked on right now.- hungryewok

yes, but I really wanna see what is going to be the vision for the 'flagship'. Something so good that Abel will think is justified to ask at least 2x the price of Ascension or NP. Another thing is that I'm not a collector. I try to make purchases once a couple of years. And resale value on...- hungryewok

well they were quick releasing this. I have a gut feeling that it is worth waiting another 6-9 months for a new flagship. Aetha is still priced under Alita.- hungryewok

my guess under USD1500. Say 1299 I really need "Neon Pro switch on with more subbass". Ascension is just lacking that top end sparkle and in your face detail retrieval.- hungryewok

I'm in the same boat. can't complain. I don't use Bluetooth transmitter, but receiver works well. I really need to listen attentively to discern a meaningful difference.- hungryewok

Evolving the UM Reference: A New Chapter for the Mason Series—Mason Nuit Étoilée & Soleil Tombé
the issue here is that rolex/lv bag/ jewelry can last decades and they are accessories that can't get outdated. iems on the other side are consumer electronics. In 3-5 years time, chifi will produce a 1k IEM that will outperform these.- hungryewok

don't buy anything mid-priced imo. Wait for the nearest expo with a lot of hi-end stuff and try to get there and listen. And then get a TOTL for yourself. And then forget the password for this forum for at least 3 years.- hungryewok

Dynamic driver flex is not a warranty issue and it shouldn't be, again this is completely normal for a vented hybrid and happens due to air moving through the said vent.- hungryewok
