Tidal Lossless Streaming
Given that a significant chunk of their userbase is audiophiles (at least I assume so, I imagine most people who don't care about lossless are on Spotify) you'd think they'd make more of an effort to make their Masters/MQA section stand out more, and be a better experience to search and browse. -
Tidal Streaming MQA Master Albums: Your Recommendations
That list is very useful. There's a useful dropdown menu in the Tidal integration in Audirvana that allows you to select just "Masters". I've been enjoying the Neil Young - ROXY: Tonight's the Night Live MQA album. -

Focal Clear headphones
I'm considering upgrading to the Clear from the Elear. I've become quite used to and comfortable with the Elears, and like the general sound signature and dynamics. I don't really notice the supposed mids issue either. Anyone have experience with this upgrade? Did it feel significant?- tbollier

DX90. 2X Sabre,1st page: Downloads, info&inst. . ! Lurker0 FW Mod link 1st page !!. .NEW FW! 2.3.0 . . . . .
Has anyone had battery issues with their DX90? I've had issues where a battery works for a few days and then the device won't turn on. I may be an issue with the device itself, not the battery, but when I put a new battery in it will work briefly, and then be completely non-responsive, even when...- tbollier

Focal Elear - Impressions Thread
Yes, I found a very noticeable improvement in the Elears just when moving from a Dragonfly Black to a Chord Mojo, and that's on the lower end of what's out there.- tbollier

Focal Elear - Impressions Thread
Well, Book 5 of his My Struggle series is set in Bergen when he's around 20 years old, it might hit close to home. Anyway, for those who take issue with the Elear's sound signature, try a good EQ. For me, bringing up the mids helped bring vocals forward and sound clearer.- tbollier

Focal Elear - Impressions Thread
THANK YOU for the EQ recommendation. I downloaded a Sonarworks trial and it's a significant improvement. I'm still looking to upgrade my DAC and amp, but this makes them much more mellow for the time-being. PS I've wanted to visit Bergen ever since reading Knausgaard Book 5, if you're familiar.- tbollier

Focal Elear - Impressions Thread
I've been listening to a pair of Elears for the past few weeks powered by a Dragonfly Black while I research and save up to get a larger desktop amp. I like the dynamics and detail of the Elears, but sometimes get fatigued from how forward they are when listening for several hours. Has anyone...- tbollier
