Straight CCA, CCA to FiiO D3, CCA to Aune T1 all to pre. Laptop USB to Aune T1, Laptop to Schitt Fulla both to pre. Have tried both USB and Optical to M8 with laptop and CCA. All the above sounds better than the M8 so far to me.

Don’t think I am impressed with my recent MassDrop one, have been listening for about a week and I find myself trying to talk myself into liking it. To me it sounds “over processed” for lack of a better description. :beerchug: Edit: thru main system, no headphones.

Once again I do see cable construction matter on digital signals including USB everyday at work. Same with 4-20ma ones also. Material and construction do matter. The question is if we can hear it or not. Now it’s up to you if you take my real world everyday exprerience or not. I have seen it...

Yep, I am pretty much over boneheads in my life. I will still read things and hopefully learn. I have a pretty good grasp on reality and know people can have differing opionins and experiences and it all contributes to the discussion.

That is correct, what is your experience? I have 23 yrs doing it and maintaing the gear that we did it with.
